[VIC] Unleaded E10 for $1/Litre @ 7-Eleven, Research

1450

7 Eleven in Research VIC currently has Unleaded E10 for $1/Litre

This servo is currently not trading fuel but open for shop sales so to obtain this price you’ll need to be within radius of the store and use the app to lock in the price then fill up elsewhere

Nearest E10 store is South Morang

Filled up 43.48 litres this morning for $43.48. Price is still current as per attached image from my app as of 12:45pm.

I know there’s a fuel watch thread for this but I think this is exception to the rule.

    • I'd love to give this a go Larry but I got lost at " setting up a blank Xcode project", I've never heard of Xcode, I googled it and get the premise but..any more comprehensive instructions available online that your aware of? Can pm me if preferred, or not :)

  • Just drove past there on the way back from the Yarra Valley and locked in the $1 price.
91 is 145.9 on the board, worth finally trying E10 for the first time at this price. Glad my car is E10 suitable.

Which idiot reported this deal as illegal? You can hide 7-eleven deals if you dont like it

    • +1

Funny, I posted the same comment and it got removed as inflammatory.

  • +3

Can confirm I have locked in 140L for research purposes…. thanks 7/11.

    • I see what you did there.

  • Locked in for 60L, thanks OP

  • first time user… have signed up & dl nox for location tool… what happens if you lock 30 litres for example and use 35? or vice versa, lock in 30 and only use 17… i assume youre ok when under but forced to pay rate of the day on the signs for going over?

    • +2

No issue if under what you locked in for, if you go over you'll need to pay the pump rate for any excess fuel.

    • +1

lock in 30 and only use 17

If this happens, any unused amount in your app-wallet remains in the app-wallet (not as litres of petrol, but as $$) .
You can use the left over dollars in your wallet for future fuel purchases or lock-ins , or to purchase a coffee or anything else in 7-11, by paying with app-wallet (just a barcode you scan)

Good offer. Just filled up and saved almost $18 for the full tank.

How long have you been with 7-11?

Just about to fill up and found this amazing thread with amazing price for petrol, the question is how do I get this to work in Sydney?

  • +3

    Honeypot!?

    • +2

      No, E10 fuel.

  • has anyone in Sydney had their accounts banned because of this?

    • +1

      Wait to Monday to check.

      • should tell u went on trip to VIC over the weekends as a backup story

  • Thanks guys saves $12. Question though…can the servo technically reject the price?

    • No.

      • They can try, as they did with me once. They offered me a $10 discount voucher.

To which I politely declined, and said that wasn't good enough, and I was happy to wait and speak to head office.

Went back and forth a bit, however time was on my side as they had a queue with a dozen customers forming.

        • Technically you also attempted to pay. If they report a petrol drive off you can show them your voucher lol.
I'd video record just to show police in the event they turn up.

  • Attendant did ask me how I found this price and surely wasnt in Sydney. :)

  • Got it to finally work but now it will not find the price, only goes to South Morang at $1.31.9

    think i missed out… bugger

  • Gone

  • Everyone should say they went on trip to VIC over the weekends as a backup story, otherwise these bargains wont be possible in the future, thats if you want to ruin for others

    • or say you travel for work :)

    • +2

…or just keep telling everyone the process to mock….so the 7/11 tech gurus can fix the workaround in the next update of the app.

      • They've had ages to do it

        • They do keep on updating it, not as easy as it used to be.

  • +1

    Research complete.

  • Is it normal for 7/11 to request a drivers licence when signing up?

    • that does sound strange

      • Using the app that the others were using from the thread that allows mock locations.

    • they do ask for me when creating another account and the reason is to check for security or something I was not asked when I created the first account.

    • Created a second account last week and wasn’t asked for license.

      • Just created another account in the proper app. Does ask for ID only when adding a credit card and topping up. Phewww thought the nodded app was a honey pot for fraud…

        • Weird, mine asked for a different mobile number when adding credit because it was already linked to my first account.

No way am I putting this rubbish E10 fuel into my V8 Mustang.

    • +2

      Can't the Mustang handle it?

      • No, it requires 98 (no idea why though - as a Maserati GranTurismo V8 only requires 95!).

    • +3

I think you meant to say put this great fuel into your rubbish Mustang. ;)
