I've often seem the main set at $229-$249, seems the bargain is the extra S330 Set.

With todays cramped engine bays, 1/2" is only good for suspension, axle and steering components. 3/8" is my go to set. Strong, yet small enough to fit in tight engine bays.

for anyone wondering, the main sockets are single hex as well. A matter of taste but many seem to prefer double hex nowadays.

    • What does single hex and double hex mean / refer to ?

I think richox is referring to 6-point sockets (vs 12-point sockets). IMHO 6-point are better (less chance of rounding).

I ordered one of TW's specials featured here a few months ago. It didn't arrive. Queried it - didn't get a reply. Followed up - again, no reply. Complained to Paypal - again, no reply from TW. Refund later given by Paypal.

So, yeah, if you're gonna buy from them, make sure you pay with Paypal.

Same experience, this mob should be banned from OzB

    • Similar experience for me. 2 orders 2 days apart, first arrive a week later no problems, second order took about 7 weeks and multiple calls. Finally got hold of someone who said they'd had a change of management and express posted my order out to me.

  • No zipties?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, stay far away from Tools Warehouse.

I made an order in February and after not receiving it and several emails back and forward with excuses it still never turned up and they stopped replying. Ended up making a PayPal dispute and got the money back. Never heard another word from them so I doubt they were still trying to even fulfil the order.

      I would second that.

Exact same experience not too long ago…

Since then they have changed their online name but I still DO NOT trust them…

    • I notice that the rep who posted has been online since a couple of the negative experience posts and chose not to respond. That's pretty damning. Not going to touch this.

  • Can vouch for the Bahco socket sets, awesome quality. I have a 1/2" and 3/8" Metric only sets and I find I am using the 3/8" set mainly.

You really don't need Imperial these days, I think that's why these kind of sets are discounted.
