  Just a warning for this DLC, I have the disc version of Minecraft. Code redeemed okay but I could never could access the content.
  I could never install it, not there. Maybe it works okay with the digital version?

    I had the same issue, and their customer service never helps after several tries. I gave up.

      I was even on a online chat with Microsoft, they spend an hour trying to get it work with me.
      But no dice.

      I gave up too.

  Check the review….

  Just a heads up when buying this. Once you redeem the code, click continue where then it should take you to the download page to download it. It will say “ error: can not find product “ something along those lines. To download these, load up Minecraft and find it in the in game store. That’s where you will have access to it.

    argh. did they do the same thing that nintendo did recently. theres two versions of minecraft. "minecraft switch edition" and "minecraft better together" (which is the same version that xbox/mobile/ pc use for cross platform)

      Microsoft owns Minecraft. Nintendo didn’t do anything…MS did the same thing on multiple platforms.

    songjing comment implies that once you redeem the code you need to download it through the minecraft in game store, not the microsoft store

    fredk1000 comment sounds like he owns the older version "Minecraft for Xbox one edition" not the newer "minecraft: better together" version which allows for cross platform with mobile/pc/xbox/switch

    if you owned the old version then theres a high change you own the newer version if you had met these conditions.

    If you already own a digital copy of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition then the new Minecraft version will be available automatically within My games & apps on your console. To install, go to My games & apps and look for Minecraft under Ready to install.

    If you own the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and you have played for at least 5 hours or purchased an item between September 2016 and September 2017, you will also receive a digital copy of Minecraft under Ready to install. This offer is valid until January 31, 2018, after which time you will need to purchase a digital version of Minecraft.

      Yep I had the Minecraft Xbox One edition disc.
      Yep unfortunately I bought it after the offer period, no free copy for me.

    I purchased it about two weeks ago. It did work but took a while to show up in game for some reason. Was a pretty crappy redemption experience, especially the error page you get when putting in the key.

    the original java modded minecraft was better. the microsft version just seems like a children cash grab game

      the old one was always needing to be patched for new version of java to do with mod packs ….. mods is what is was all about, was a pain having to patch, load latest versions of java and hope the enthusist supported mod would work.

  Note that it works on the Nintendo Switch version (and the Windows 10 / iOS / Android version as well).

  Just make sure you purchase this, redeem into a Microsoft account and link all of your Minecraft on every platform to it.
