Better off with a secondhand Weber kettle. These are thin as.

I've had one these for a few years now with the offset, done 6 pork butts at once for a party. I spent at least $150 to seal this up and add some mods. I stopped using it when I got my Heatermeter and recorded the fuel consumption. I stopped it after using 4-6kg of briquette and charcoal after 2 hours. It runs fine using wood as it burns hotter though.

There is a few mods you must make to it to make reasonable. Some parts only available from Amazon US.
I have since made a UDS smoker. My last 10 hour cook with the heatermeter it used less than 2kgs of fuel. I can post pics of the mods I've made or the UDS build if anyone cares.

I regret buying a cheap offset smoker. Make a UDS.

    • Wow. Sorry for the terrible English. I rushed to make the post as I was worried someone would make a horrible mistake and purchase one.

I forgot to add, this works perfect as a spit as is.

      • I was just going to buy one for charcoal grilling. Anything better I should look at? I was going to get a spit but didn’t want to cook marinated kebabs at knee level. I have a rotisserie motor. I had a brick pit at my last place . Now I just want to buy and cook. No making.
