Just found out that seven new games will be added today for Xbox game pass holders.

Dead Rising 2 & Dandara have been added at the time of posting.

Hitman Season 1

    It’s this really a deal? It’s just the benefit of the subscription service, just like when Netflix adds and removes content. The following games were removed:

    • DiRT Rally
    • LIMBO
    • Overcooked
    • Pharaonic
    • So Many Me
    • Ultratron

    These ‘free’ games will be taken away too at some point.

          It’s $10.95 per month too… almost double the cost of a Gold subscription (which you still need for multiplayer)

          But GwG posts still isn’t really a bargain though. You have to pay the monthly subscription to get it. It’s more of a PSA. Also the Xbox one games are unplayable if you let your subscription lapse

        Personally I’m not a huge fan of the street fighter/mortal kombat games. I’m kind of over them as a genre. Sure, they’re enjoyable with friends but it just gets repetitive. Just feels like if you’ve played one then you’ve played them all just with different graphics and different set of moves to learn

        That being said, it’s free… so i just went to the Microsoft store and put it on my download queue for when I get home because I’m having some friends over Saturday night and it might be a fun game to try

          I wouldn't buy Tekken but for free i'll play it over the wknd for sure. But there is no Roger (the kangaroo) in this game, sadly, massive downer for me! Haha. All cos that dude punched a kanga in the head a couple of years back !

        Not sure. It was a GWG title a while ago, so there’s a chance you already had that game through that.

        Also I think that Microsoft have a day or two of grace before they actually fully remove titles.

    As usual, the games I own do get added to Game Pass. It's just a matter of time. Hitman season 1 now added. What's next, Microsoft, which of the following games I own do you plan to add to Game Pass next? Assassin's creed origin? Call of duty WW2?

    I know Halo master chief collection will be added to Game Pass. I should stop buying XB1 games.

      I think there's a slim chance of those being free with Gold as they're still the latest in the series. In my opinion…and I'm simply going by history here, I don't think COD WW2 will simply because none of the previous COD titles have so far.

      On the other hand, quiet a few Assassin's Creed games have been free.

      I've come close in buying Quantum Break a few times (I know it's not meant to be great) but I'm convinced that will come up at some point - so I have held off.

          @cheepo: Need to keep it so Microsoft have more incentive to put it in Game Pass :)

          If in doubt, look at netsurfer's game collection, and pick games from that collection to add to GamePass.

    Didn't realise they removed games. The plan was to put my brothers kids on the game pass so that they won't have to buy more than one or two standalone AAA game a year. I'd hate to see them playing a game then the next day it comes off their library.

      They add and remove games every month. On average, most games are on GamePass for about a year. Some more, some less.
      It's possible to find out when a game will leave GamePass via XB1 console. For example, from memory, Gears of War 4 will be removed either at the end of this year or Jan 2019 (I checked a while back, but cannot remember the exact date it is set to).

      Microsoft don't randomly remove games from GamePass - most, if not all games already have a planned date when they will leave the GamePass library. You do get sufficient warning (it's still good to check for the games you really like or prioritise finish playing games leaving next month).

      DiRT Rally was removed, but Dirt 4 was added one month prior to its removal. PlayAnywhere titles on GamePass can also be played on PC (active membership required obviously and Windows 10 is required since you need to download/install the game through Microsoft App Store).

    I think the issue people are having with the post is the misleading capitalised FREE in the title. It’s not “free” but a paid service that is replacing games in its catalogue. I found it informative but wasn’t what I initially thought I was clicking on when saw the title

      Exactly. Furthermore the original deal was tagged as a Freebie (which has since been removed).

      The new season of Orange is the New Black just came out on Netflix but adding a deal that says “FREE Orange is the New Black” would be very misleading, yet that is what is happening here.

      Whilst this deal is a great PSA for those with Game Pass. It’s probably more appropriate in the forums. But then again the PSN monthly games and Games with Gold posts are technically in the same boat, yet they are more useful because almost all Xbox and PlayStation owners have those services.

      I think OzBargain could make some changes here to makes these PSA/deals appear for people with the right subscription, and hide them for others. Just a thought.

        Yeah, I wouldn’t know how you would even go about it and the site is still fine as it is now but it would be good to be able to categorise all the regular weekly coles catalogues/psn plus/Xbox live/humble bundle posts etc.

      Yes, they are. Example: Gears of War 4. You can play on Windows 10 with your active GamePass subscription. Obviously, decent graphics card also required.
