I owned 2 pairs of Sol Republic in ear headphones a few years ago - I think they were the Amps HD or something like that, with a flat cable.
The reason I owned two - they both failed over time. But I asked for replacement over refund because, even at full price, I didn't find anything in their class at the price range.
At 50% off, I'd recommend, as long as you feel comfortable with the inevitable warranty discussion.
Just some feedback on my experience with Sol headphones, we went through 3 pairs of Relay Sport wireless in the space of a couple of weeks.
I bought a pair for myself and my partner (from JB Hifi). I couldn't even get mine out of the box before the earpiece on one side broke apart.
Returned for replacement. The second pair started crackling and hissing after the second week.
Returned for a refund.
My partner's pair started dropping sound from one side. At this point we figured they were total crap and returned her's for a refund too.
Side note: JB were super helpful.
