  • Wait, I thought the idea of the water was that you didn't need a vacuum bag?

    • +3

There's 2 types of 'wet vacuum'.

This is'"wet/dry", a conventional vacuum that can handle wet stuff without a bag.

Other type is "water filter" that's more like a bong, you put water in it first, draw air through it and dump the dirty water afterwards. No bag or filters.

      • +1

You had me at bong. Going to pick one up now

I find it hard to believe this was $160.00. You can buy Ozito 1250W 25L Wet And Dry Vacuum for $65.00 everyday at Bunnings.

    • +3

Yup, take the Ozito over the Hoover (which has had nothing to do with the actual original Hoover Co. that built up the brand many yrs back before they went bust) over this every time - 3yr warranty and looks like a lot more accessories.

      • +5

Yeah, Hoover sucks now. And not in the good way. No, not in that good way, the other good way, you pervert.

  • Maximum power: 1250 Watts
Good price but that seems a bit underpowered

    • +2

Not sure why you would say that. I've got a 1200 Watt no name China wet & dry vac and it sucks like a pro.

      • If it has decent suction that's good - most of the cheap vacs I see seem to 2000 watts plus

        • watts and suction … not linear

you can get cheap ass motor taking 2400watts … but sucks like my mouth

  • I wonder what the Vacuum bags cost?

  • Thanks OP. This deal sucks. Just what I needed.

  • unfortunately I missed out on this. Any other cheap vac deals going?

    • Look up Ozito at bunnings. Avoid the little 12L one though.

      • What's wrong with the 12l?

        • I've got the 12L one, we washed the entire house floor tiles, small 25sq house though (and still use it occasionally)… 12L has to be emptied out very often… agree that bigger one will require less trips for emptying… but you pay more for this feature…
