Inkbird Bluetooth BBQ dual probe thermometer.

I've had one of these for over a year and they're awesome!
You can measure the temp & set alamr for for two different foods (e.g. chicken & steaks) or different parts of a roast at the same time or just steaks because the missus like well done & I like medium.
It has IOS/Android app so you can connect & get instant reads, set desired temps, alarms for each probe, etc Or you can just read off the display.

They're fairly robust (I have a habit of killing my probes, but these have been fine).
The two probes are great for cooking steaks to different temps (e.g. rare & med-well done Or monitoring a roast which is uneven (e.g. whole legs of lamb)

Perfect fathers day prezzy if he likes the BBQ.

They're about $36 on Ebay.

  • Also have one of these.

We haven't had a single overcooked/undercooked piece of meat since purchasing. Absolutely fantastic!

  • What's the update frequency on this?

    • It's continuously updated. One degree at a time!

    • It's about every second give or take. I did some tests against a Thermoworks Dot and the accuracy was almost exactly the same. For the price these are a steal and a must if you do any long smoker cooks.

The only downside is the bluetooth range is a little short. But again at that price point you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.

  • have one (upgraded to a smartfire)

They work well, but the alarm setup is annoying (buzzes for nuisance alarms when opening lid), it beeps on both unit and phone and acknowledging on phone cant be done from notification

    Definitely good value though

    • Yes the alarm can be annoying, range isn’t great and I wish it had a magnet base, hook or something to keep it in place. But I’d recommend or buy again in a heartbeat.

This price is good if you have prime. Otherwise it’s about normal.

  • Is it the same as this model?
