      How many deals mention the need for Amazon Prime or eBay Plus?

        Yes - only if you are already club catch member.

        But my point is membership sucks overall

        At the end, all the ebay/amazon deal will require membership. So you end up save less because you need to pay for the monthly fee.

        Eventually woolworth/coles will have membership system that sales only apply to members only.

        Membership is just the evil tool to limit your choice and cost you money to get the exclusive discount that you used to able to get without any memberhsip.

        @humbala: if have a membership that saves you more than it costs to have the membership and than what you pay without a membership then it’s worth it to pay for. Memebrships are here to stay. So can’t complaint about them. I have saved much more from my catch membership in deals like this than what I paid for them so they have paid for themselves

  Good price this for a straight up Hero5 Black, but then the membership fee … Or as I discovered yesterday though, the GoPro Hero 2018 is nothing but a re-badged GoPro Hero5 Black that takes about 5 minutes to convert for $249 from JB at the moment (if you can get 5% off then $237.50).

      /r/goprohack. /u/ohyicong has put the updated files on his Google Drive, though you can always go through the steps and compile it yourself. You can verify the SHA1 hash of his firmware update vs. the one on the original website. The guys who did it have done a YouTube video, but after the fact not a tutorial. I don't think they want to get sued by GoPro or something I suppose.
