I noticed Telstra is giving away Tab A8's with every Note9 preorder. For $129 you get the Note9 with 60GB & a free Tab A8.0.
But at Optus it's $120 per month for a Note9 +Tab A8, 103GB, unlimited calls AND I can share data between the two devices!
Aka, I saved more with Optus when I ordered my Note9 at $105 a month for 100GB and add Galaxy Tab A8 for $25 for 3GB. I only pay $120 thanks to the $10 bundle discount. This means it's $9 cheaper and 43GB more data each mth at Optus!
Hrmm I wonder if this can be done at Harvey Norman and get another 20% off.

Always search ozbargain before buying.
Also when buying online you should have applied student discount via free .edu email for 10% off.

I think you've made a mistake on this one (unless this is instore only). The $105 deal is only for 20gb. The 100gb plan doesn't have the same discount for the Note 9 as the other plans (online it doesn't anyway) so it costs $137.
But on the plus side the 20% Harvey Norman discount will apply.
Edit: if you select the plan it does then apply the discount so we're laughing!

I don't see this either and, when I try to buy, it also costs $112 per month for 105GB. Not sure where the numbers in this deal are coming from!

For those who also found the deal slightly confusing, this deal is made up of multiple parts.
1 - Add Galaxy Note 9 $125 plan as a $20 discount will apply (This is a lease plan, +$7 to Own the Phone)
2 - Add Galaxy Tab A 8.0 $25 plan
3 - Once both are added a $10 discount will apply resulting in the $120 "deal"

So actually it's $127 to "get" the Note9 (rather than lease).
Your options at the end of lease:
Return the phone to Optus in good working order. If it's damaged, a damage fee of up to $499 will apply
Basically, a large percentage of people will be on the hook for a damage fee.

didn't mean to hijack the post, just wanted to let all of you know that the 20% discount has been going on for months, long before harvey norman or optus sport discount were available, it was actually 30% discount a few months ago (expired now) you just got to find the right sales channel to help with your order.
and if my calculation is right, you could actually get the Note 9 512GB plus the Tab S4 for $131 per month with 110GB data included. it just why would you still get a tab A if the latest tab S4 is only costing $9 more according to this post.
