  • Locked to vodafone.
    Unlock will cost you $25

    • How to unlock?

    • Yikes, so almost double if you don't want to use Voda!

  • +1

    Whoop, there it is!

Always knew it'd hit this price eventually!

    • +5

It hit this price on the 24th Feb.

      • +1

Good to know! I don't tend to keep much of an eye on bargain basement phones. I guess that's why they call you WatchNerd :)

        • +4

Haha I don't either, it's just that I predicted the price drop on the 20/12/17.

        • +2

Just wait until PhoneNerd gets here, he probably saw it for $28 last year or something.

        • @LoopyLou: Nerds have evolved.

      • +1

        These were $79 yesterday.

  • +37

I remembered last time i had this phone, i was talking to me ex and got upset! Threw the phone across the room! Big mistake! had to spend a fortune to patch the hole in the wall. Nokia never again..

    • I guess that's why they are an ex :P

    • +1

Good thing it wasn't 25 years ago when you were using a brick phone.

  • +13

How does it compare to the Google Pixel 2 XL? Tossing up between these two…

Pros for the Pixel 2 is water resistance
Pros for the Nokia is I can throw it in the fiery pits of Mordor and it will still work.

    • +12

Nokia is drop proof (will break floor), has snake, lasts 25 days on standby

    • +4

I think the battery life will be slightly better on the Nokia. Depends on how much you play snake though.

      • +8

I play with my snake when I’m bored

        • +2

You play with your snake whilst viewing the bargains on here. Filthy miser!

    • +1

This one has a camera and has snake. Probably much better.

  • Not sure why this phone seems to have a weak network reception. Using an aldi Sim and some calls are very choppy. Could be aldi but I've been using aldi for a while and never had this issue on my other phones.

    • +1

Aldi uses Telstra network, so doubt the network is the issue. Perhaps problem with the antenna?

    • +3

Phone is not compatible with 850mhz 3G frequency, the primary 3G frequency of Telstra

  • Looks pretty nice, is this dual sim? Picture here shows 2 network bars.

    • Not sure i recall someone saying that was for the asian model or something.

    • +1

      Single SIM, I have one.

  • Does it have band 28?

    • Your attempt at humour has failed.

  • +1

I just sold my one I bought months ago for 29 bucks, for 32 bucks, minus the 10 buck SIM card.
    Hah.

  • this thing don't have wifi right ?

    such a shame

  • +1

The original 3310 looked better. The new one looks like a cheap toy.

I learnt something today, meny is Norwegian for menu.

    • It’s actually a novelty nostalgia piece mainly.

  • Is this the 4g model of the phone?

    • +1

      No

      • Thanks!

I’ll save my dollerydoos on this one then…it can’t even run whatsapp…

        • The new Nokia 8110 4G can

        • @apptrack:

KaiOS doesn't have an official Whatsapp port as yet…

        • @twister292: Nokia have confirmed it on their Twitter page, should be out end of this month

  • Any long-expiry low-usage prepaid options with Vodafone? Does it also work with Vodafone resellers?

    • There’s a 365-day option on prepaid…$20 lasts 1 year

  • Pretty cheap for a burner phone

    • +1

Why would you suggest that, I have NO reason for a burner phone. Absolutely none. None at all. I don’t even know what a burner phone is. Why would I? How would I?

    • Doesn't work as a burner phone - nothing less than Thor's Hammer will destroy it in a hurry.

  • They had the Xperia XA for 65 bucks the other day think theyre just clearing stock for new lines.

    • which Coles was this? that's a great deal.

      • Maybe he meant US dollars.

  • +1

    Snake game

    be still my beating heart!!

  • Can this phone be used with Kogan sim that runs on voda network? Or does it have to be direct Vodafone network

    • +1

It will work with Kogan SIM.

    • +2

Works fine with Kogan. Tested by me.

  • Does this connect to wifi at all? Or need cable to download photos taken? Would hate pesky data transfer cables.

    • No WiFi

      • Does this mean this phone is call only, no data element?

  • No way this would work with amaysim (without paying money for unlock)?

    • +1

      Correct

    • Get the big W one for$39

  • Where exactly are the phones sold in Coles. Near the cigarettes counter? Thinking of buying this for my grandmother and loading it with 365 day credit.

    • +3

Where exactly are the phones sold in Coles. Near the cigarettes counter?

      Yes.

    • were you able to load it with 365day credit? What was the minimum reload?
I am trying to get the same for my mother. Thanks!

  • No deals on the 8110? I heard KaiOS is decent and supports gmaps, What's app and Facebook. Should have a lot of people covered

  • Coles also sells a blue Optus one for the same price. Picked one up at Waurn Ponds, Geelong last night.

  • Bloody hard to find this brick phone.

    • It was at Coles Kurri Kurri NSW on Tuesday.

      • Argggghhhhh

        • Wouldn't this be better for the same price?

        • @WatchNerd: can someone please confirm if this is better value than NOKIA 3310?
