  The Mecool M8S Pro L is a very good android TV for the price. For those that do end up purchasing it.   These are rubbish I've got 2 both have problems each time you turn it on you have to go to settings and set English as it always defaults to chinese language and they don't have any updates via the installed OTA software and they both freeze intermittently (don't buy).

    I don't have this problem. But I know what you've done. You need to go to Settings, HDMI and turn off the auto language… Problem solved!

    Mine has issues with YouTube and Plex no longer works. Have only used it for like a total of 5 hours so can't be bothered trying to sort it out. Bought because I thought it would be smart to save money instead of buying a second NVIDIA shield.

  I've got a mecool m8s pro l. It works as perfectly as can be expected from a Android box. There aren't many that can do proper frame rate switching for different video sources, and this one can't either. But it is better than the Xiaomi mi TV box (which I also own). I had to do the videostream key apk hack to get netflix working again.
  This box can be loaded with a Linux kodi distro

    I also have the mi TV box and preffer the android boxes as they run iview and stuff straight of the playastore, I haven't had any issues, run the netflix app, vlc for movies, etc.
