  • I believe you can get a $350 gift card through the good guys with selected hisense /lg/Panasonic TV's. $250 for the 65" p7

  • Nice price!

  • Picking up one of these is not really an option though. Good luck fitting a 75" tv in your avg car/suv!

    • Yep, have to pay $55.

      • shows free shipping for me, i'm in VIC

        • Oh sorry, I was looking at The Good Guys website.

    • I had struggle fitting 55”. I can only imagine picking up a 75” lol

      • fitted a 65" inch in a little honda jazz no issues lol

        • How? or just kidding

        • Do you realize TVs are supposed to be transported upright (and in their box) so as not to damage the screen?

          WHAT THE HOW DO DIS?

        • -2

@Homr: No it doesn't, but feel free to treat your own TV how you like. Why do you think some TV brands put tilt detectors on their boxes. If it's not been transported correctly and the tilt detector is blown they may cancel any warranty.

        • @pauliau:

I've never heard of a tilt detector in the box. But generally, glass should be transported upright as the gravitational pressure is applied to the thickest part as opposed to the thinnest part when lying down. However this is just best practice and not a requirement.

I transported my 75" TV in a trailer lying down and haven't had any issues with it.

  • That's a pretty good price currently for the P7

  • how does it compare to the Samsung 75"?
    Similar price

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/UA75NU7100WXXY-Samsung-75-Series…

    • I can already see the Samsung is 100 motion rate instead of 200 and one less HDMI.

  • 5 left. Very tempting. I wonder what the return policy is like if it's damaged.

Appliance Central have pretty good customer service.

  • It works out to be $2,413.00 for me? Not including cashback. Deal looking better by the minute. Cashback: $2,388.87

  • man…these prices dropping so quick.. im still holding my 75 inch 1080p sony but tempted with this..

    • I'm still holding my Panasonic 55" 1080p, couldn't let the 3D go lol

      • Get the panasonic th-ex780a while there is still some stock left around, the last 3D TV. You won't regret it.
My local JB hi-fi has one display of the 75inch going at $2400 which is a great price!

        • Nice, I think I might. It's active 3D, wish it was passive, but can't be picky when it comes to 3D anymore.

        • +1

@RocketSwitch: I was in the passive camp as well for a long time. Until I got this active and it has completely changed my perception, the image is much crisper and brighter and cleaner with active.
The only downside is the cost of glasses. But with the Full HD-3D RF standard means there is many options to choose from (basically most of the Bluetooth glasses will be compatible). From the Samsung's and Panasonic's that I have tried the Panasonic seems to generally have better build quality and longer battery life. Albeit more expensive. But if you look around you can find good second hands for cheap.

        • @OpayuOnam: Thanks for the info, I'll try and find this TV at a good price, crazy expensive still, but I can see why. Literally has everything.

        • opayuOnam

Care to share the store? Have called up a few in Melbourne and no one can get close to $2400. They have it listed for $3,499 new and floor models a little bit cheaper. Maybe a pic?

        • +1

@4892: this was in NSW, display model can be discounted a lot. But you have to go in store and negotiate in person and ready to walk out, also try adding warranty as their margins on warranty is high. JB Hi-fi is notorious for not negotiating much but then dropping price, helps if the store in question is small. The same store had a Philips 65inch ambilight for $1600 for a while and when it didn't clear it dropped to $1000!

I managed to get the ex780 58" at the start of year from TGG for around $1.5k (including 5 years replacement warranty) after quite a bit of negotiation…

I bought the 75N7 a few months ago and had constant problems with the tv not switching on intermittently. Was asked to do a factory reset which didn't do much. Then they changed the motherboard which didn't rectify the problem. So Hisense replaced it with a 75P7 which looked almost identical. Picture quality for watching tv was marginally better than the N7. Overall picture quality is ok - not great. My 5 year old Samsung 55 is better - I put this down to the smaller size.

    • Have you manually adjusted the picture settings? folks on whirlpool are reporting a remarkable difference. search for whirlpool hisense picture settings.

    • My parents had the exact same issue.

  • Bought the N7 65" about a year ago and regret not getting a 75". Tempted to get this

    • You can gift me your 65" when you upgrade :P

  • Picked up the 75P7 from TGG today (fits comfortably in a Pathfinder 😁).

Coming from a 55" this thing is huge. Picture quality seems pretty good so far for 4K content. HD content looks OK as well on Netflix.

Will have to play around with the settings to make some of the blur/judder disappear. Haven't tried sports yet

    • so you found the path to fit it in?
