  The best cat trees we have are an ikea hack where we bought a pair of uprights and then got some old shelving wood. Offset the alternate shelves back and front so the cat can jump up from level to level and then carpet each shelf. We screwed the shelves in for rigidity. The cats can sit at various levels, with the top being the most prized. From one hack they can step onto a high window ledge and sit in the sun. With the hacks they have room to stretch out to sleep or just sit and survey their domain.

  Almost a world record. Omar, a Maine Coon who lives in Melbourne, is 120cm long. :)
