"Save over $600 on RRP"…..meaningless. Not in the market for this but wonder what the "real" price is? If it's Vladdo's model then a huge "no".

    Store that considers customers idiots?

    Ah, thanks nikhilmyfriend

Before you start criticising, this soundbar is a new release so most retailers are selling them at RRP. The good Guys have these for $1999 so this is a good deal. I think you should apologise.

I agree, nearest price is $1691 at appliances online so this seems like a pretty good launch price. Will probably be $1200 in the next 12 months but that is then and this is now. Don't need but interested….I like the wireless rears and was thinking of relegating my Yammy YSP2700 to the bedroom.

If its anything like the k950 dont expect samsung to fix the abundance of issues it will have and expect any update they do release to break even more things.

I'm pretty disappointed there's no lpcm support for the k950. Didn't matter originally until that switch sale.

  • Been waiting for this, thank you very much!

  • Hi all can anyone confirm they have purchased from kick start before ?..
I'm very tempted to add this to my lg oled, read great reviews

  • hey OP.

Based on your tag can you give us a little insight on the business? interested in the above deal however based on internet reviews it hasn't been all positive. Price seems very good (too good to be true?) for a new model, do you have the item in stock?

    • +1

I have placed my order and they called me to say that they will not process my CC until they confirm the stock which will come every week and the worst case scenario is to wait for another week. Seems to be very responsive and diligent in following up. You can email them to check first if you want [email protected]

  • Is this .au stock or a grey import? Nothing necessarily bad with that, but want to know what kind of electrical plug it has.

  • I have also placed an order (thanks OP), paid via direct deposit and told stock should be in by mid to late next week.

Kickstart computers contact told me stock is genuine Australian stock and will have no issues raising any warranty concerns with Samsung Australia if needed.

been scouring the web for more reviews on this model, all signs so far seem excellent can't wait!

  • Thanks this deal is still active - I just purchased via CC which includes a surcharge of 1.2% so $27.38 but I wanted some insurance rather than taking a risk with bank deposit :)

The missus has been bugging me for a sound system for some time and this one is pretty no fuss - I'm hoping it's reasonably loud for a fairly large lounge room even though it's a sound bar and it also comes with a wall mount kit which is great

    • Hi are you sure 1.2% was 27.38?

      • I just read it as 1.2% surcharge + 0.8% handling fee so 2% :)

  • Interested but not keen on rear speakers… will it function without rear speakers?

    • +2

From what I understand HW-N850 is the same less rear speakers (don't quote me).

  • I’ve just tried demo at the good guys, it’s stunningly good sound. Sadly they don’t price match with the one in SA. Anyone got any update from their order. Seems too good to be true for that price at kickstart.

I ordered last week and Andrew sent an email saying stock would be in by the end of the week or at worst the following week. He then rang a couple of days later to notify that stock had been shipped and provided me with a tracking number. I was interstate and delivery was attempted last Friday so I just picked it up at lunch and will set it up tonight. Overall a good experience with Kickstart and if things are priced competitively I'd definitely buy from them again.

      • You are lucky enough to be a lunch time away from the depot :)

Toll IPEC is a joke seriously I wish they would use someone else

  • Hi guys anyone know if there is still a save30 type code for this product?
    Thanks

    • You can email andy AT kickstartcomputers.com.au he's the sales manager and I'm sure he'd do you a deal :)

    • Well I asked him and he said no deal there are only a few left @ $1399 and price going up

Just posing for info: if mounting the rear speakers 1/4" thread and 12mm length is wha I used for my mount. If your mount is really thick you may need to bump up to 15mm.

    • Thanks where did you get your mount by the way?

I was thinking about getting it off ebay or amazon or a couple of other online stores

Mines supposed to come today - how's the sound bar mount? decent quality?

      • +1

        I got stands: https://www.selby.com.au/pair-of-selby-home-theatre-satellit…

I have used these in the past but need to be stud mounted and you'll still need power: https://www.selby.com.au/tv-brackets-stands/speaker-brackets…

I built a riser for my entertainment unit which my last sound bar sat under this one is wider so it sits in front of it.

        • Thanks I mentioned this on avsforum and someone said they can't hold much weight

These satellites are on the larger size so is it holding up ok?

Says 4kg and these are 2kg though so it should …

I found a very cheap price but not sure whether I'll pull the trigger yet

        • @s3n:

They're fine, being a pole though the centre of gravity is prettyy high even with the weighted base. If they're placed in an untrafficed area then you won't have any issues, if you have kids bouncing around the place or you might actually bump it it wouldn't take heaps to knock it over… but I can give it a push in all directions with my fingers and it's fine. I personally would like something better (cable management and a bit more solid) but don't feel like spending $150+ right now.
