no worries, glad I can help others with better choice.

Linelink are great. They do not pricejack.

I would recommend a Celllink NEO battery from them as well whilst the discount is on. Very helpful and means during parking mode it will operate off the external battery (fits under the front passenger car seat) and not the car battery. Worth the investment!

    • Cheers matey

    • Why do you recommend not running off car battery?

      • +1

The car would be parked for the 'parking' function. You would not want it using your engine battery. Instead, the secondary battery will charge when your engine is running effectively mitigating the risk of a flat battery.

        • Yep this, I've had a hard wire before and it runs the battery down quite fast. I've been waiting for this sale for quite a while.

        • @omguleh: How fast is fast? Days? Weeks?

        • @John Kimble:

Depends on which hard wire kit you are using. I use this one https://dashcamsaustralia.com.au/shop/dashcams/blackvue/powe… at 11.6v it can run for a few days then my car will give a battery warning. If you are driving everyday then it's not too bad as you get a chance to top up the battery. To be safe I left mine at 12.4v.

For my new car I'm going to use the battery.

    • You say they don't pricejack, but their Cellink Neo sold history says otherwise.

  • Can anyone recommend installation and quote in Melbourne would appreciate it?

It's worth noting that with the 650s the second camera is 720p, not 1080p as the title suggests. If you want 1080p on both channels, you need to opt for the 750s version.

    • Ur right, good spotting. Only the front were 1080p, rear are 720p. Any other good alternative? 750s is bit too high price tagged.

got a better choice for you. viofo a129, check the reviews compares to top range blackvue dr900 and only 1/4 of the price.
did a quick search on ebay and found a superb deal for ya, only $198 for ebay plus members.

        • +1

Wow… that sounded heaps better in value!! Ur a champion, why didn’t I thought about searching a Viofo in the first place ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
          Thanks so much

        • That one seems to read as though you need an external GPS module and isn't clear if it's included. Also mentions 3rd party software for the GPS. Anyone have one to clarify?

        • +2

Great price! But, it's huge and hideous.

          Blackvue is way more inconspicuous.

        • +1

@Damoj4: you can scroll down where the content picture gps module is included.

        • @whatsmyname201: thanks, wasn't sure if it was just the mount or not

  • I think Massdrop is currently running a deal on 750S 2 channel, but cant confirm till after work sorry.

    • Massdrop do have the 750S, unfortunately it won't ship to an Australian address.

      • If using Shipmate the 750S on Massdrop is $280US ($380AUS using google conversion) + Shipping with shipmate 36.15AUS + GST $38.00 AUS = $454.15AUS

Hard wire kit is extra $25US ($34 AUS)

Also gotta wait till Sept 5 until drop closes. Just another option for people who want 1080P Front and Back.

  • Anyone have the DR590 is it any good?

    • They are bit old I think, aren’t they?

      • Bit more in my price range sub $200

  • There is the 900 series which is 4K but bloody way too expensive at 800$

  • How well do these survive under the Australian sun? What's the life expectancy?

    • Not sure if these are battery operated or capacitor, but it is always recommended to use the capacitor rather than battery in case they blow up.

  • Have been running one of these for 2 years. 650S. Works well. Would recommend
