750

Happy hump day, OzBargain!

I've got your groceries sorted for the week, with cases of Great Northern at $12.00 per each.
Promotional Maximum of 4 per order.

I checked out with four cases plus a pack of coffee machine pods to get my order over $50.
$4 extra for Sydney Metro delivery.

I've received a confirmation email, with delivery due tomorrow afternoon. Will see how this goes.

Bonus deal!

If the stock image is correct on the Coles website, there's also a $10 BCF voucher in every case.
So $40 BCF store credit + 96 beers for $48.
Can't beat that value.

Called Dan to price match. They already called Coles and confirmed price error.

    • +5

      RIP the dream

  • +1

In my email invoice it says beer is $216.00 for four cartons but total for the order is "estimated" as just $55 (including postage and some milk). I'm a bit worried that the "estimate" will ultimately be off by let's say $168.00. If that happens I hope that coles customer service will be good about cancelling the order and giving me a full refund.

    • Same here, says $220 for the beer and estimated $54.99 payment due on delivery.

    • yea same, i dont want to pay full price for beer.

    • There are some situations when the price of your order on the website will be different from the price you are charged when your order is packed. This can happen for the following reasons.

If we substitute an out of stock item you will be charged the lower price of the two.
We estimate a price for items that need to be weighed like bananas, meat and some deli products. When we pack your order we weigh the items and charge the exact price for their weight, based on the price per kilo at the time you ordered

      • +1

As long as they don't sell beer by the kilo maybe we're okay?

        • sounds like it, hopefully we get it for $48

  • 'Liquor is not available for delivery or collection at this time' THEN WHY LET ME ADD IT TO THE CART AT ALL?!! The hell with Coles. Woolworths forever. Presumably not an accurate error or else no-one would have been able to complete their order but it's frustrating that they've coded it poorly.

    • did you select your delivery/collection window before or after you added to cart?

      • This was almost 5 hours ago after multiple different attempts to make it work. I cannot remember. I believe the error text is inaccurate anyway and a placeholder because they don't have a more accurate message in place for this situation.

  • Won't let me choose delivery or click and collect, keeps returning an error.

  • Probably already out of stock of price error, the page has been removed

  • GG, looks like the page is offline.

Good luck to those that got in!

  • +3

Yeah nah. I have 4 in my cart for $48 but it keeps crapping out when selecting a pick up time or delivery address.

    • Same here

      • +1

Bugger. I think the lesson here is to use these prices to price match at other outlets…

  • Dan murphys wont price match due to price error.

  • +27

Price matched at dms, 5 slabs for $55 booyah!

      • +1

        Haha on ya mate!

        True blue OzBargainer here!

      • receipt?

      • Winner!

      • +3

you got the full strength too!

        • Missed this! I think this is deal of the year material for old mate!

        • +2

In honour of this epic deal and snagging 5 slabs, I'd be keen on putting on a BBQ at a local park for OzBargainers on one of these weekends. Anyone else interested? I'm based in East/South East Melbourne.

    • It's available online only so it violates the price match of dan murphies. Good on you though.

      • +7

OzBargain fought the man and the OzBargainer won.

    • Feel sorry for the poor person that honoured that for you, they will most likely have to deal with a very unhappy manager.

  • Wth is this fee of minimim $3 to pickup!

    • +4

$3 is nothing when you save $170 for 4 cases bruh

      • +1

Not the point I was trying to make.

Just like the cinema booking fee when you book online rather than going to booth

  • +2

What is going on a Cole lately? This is about the 5'th deal in the last week or two about price errored beer there

    • +9

      Yeah I blame Cole

    • +1

      yeah Cole, what a gronk

  • Not working. Games up. Page no longer available grrrr

  • It's a good deal if it works that's for sure. Still I couldn't be bothered.

The deal was probably ment to only be a 6 pack.

  • Was able to order 4. Praying this works out well.

  • game over :(

  • I think these mis-prices have been done to death, mine even went as far as getting an SMS that it was on it's way with delivery time in next 30 minutes …..driver never arrived, hassled coles and it seems the SMS is automated, not actually based on a drive or what is in the truck but a clock …..

    • -1

wow, why would they do that?

I think you'll find that most if not all major retailers that offer an in-house delivery service will also have an automated notification system.
