If you are a final year medical student/intern/surgical trainee this is a very good investment to make.
the 9th edition is vastly better than the newer editions, hence why the newer 10th, 11th and 12th editions (as they are no where near as detailed) are cheaper.

hospital library has it, i just posted it for those who were trying to get this book, cant draw and annotate the library one
I agree with OP, I've used both 9th and 12th editions. Anatomy hasn't changed, and 9th is just better set out.
The details in the newer editions have been dumbed down. It’s just not possible to learn with enough detail to do surgery in your garage with the newer editions. The 9th will drive you crazy with the details & intricacies, but you’re just not safe if you don’t know it back to front.
nah mate, the 12th edition doesn't have enough detail in comparison.
the 9th edition is what has been used by surgical trainees in Aus, NZ, UK since 1999
