Possum Merino Fibre
Possum merino is a unique blend of the very finest possum fur and superfine New Zealand merino wool, it is soft, warm and light. The natural fibres provide moisture management by wicking moisture away from the skin.
The possum fibre provides incredible warmth with light weight. Brushtail possum fur is similar in softness to angora and cashmere and is combined with the softness of only pure NZ merino lambs wool.   Apprantly it's warmer than sheep wool, and possum is a pest in NZ just as kangaroos are in some parts of Australia.

    Many would consider possums a pest in Australia, it's just they happen to be native.

        Yes, as are cats, kangaroos, emus (in Broken Hill), Tasmanian Devils (during lambing season).
        And there are a few too many ducks some days.

        If you've had them fight in your roof or worse die, then yes.
        Highly territorial and close to impossible to keep out.

    How good is it for longevity? I've found every merino top I've had has quickly developed holes. Apparently it's due to the shorter merino fibres. I'd imagine mixing it with even shorter possum fibres would exacerbate the problem.
