  I booked a Malaysia airlines business class special to Perth on the a330 (flatbed) and a couple of weeks prior to the flight they changed it to a 737 (worse than domestic qantas business class).

  There were people in the business class cabin that were furious - they had paid for a flatbed, and ended up with something far worse. Buyer beware.

    To be fair, this happens on many airlines, even Qantas. Operations dependent. If the 330 has to undergo some emergency maintenance, they can cancel the flight, or sub a plane. Sucks if you've paid though, but you can usually get something back for it if you contact support.

      If they can change aircraft to one with less features than what you paid for then they can auto compensate passengers if they wanted to. Instead they keep the $ and wait for them to complain.
      That's not right..

      Every other reference on the website, including the T&Cs, does state it is 2TRAVELau

      Both @muzzamo and OP are correct.

      The website wrongly indicates 2TRAVElau on the business companion promotion page and this is what the OP copied. I tried this code a couple of days ago and were not able to get the business companion fare.
      The website is now updated to populate the coupon code 2TRAVELau onto the booking page though the wrong code on the static display promotion page is still not updated.

      Promotion-wise, tested for SYD-NRT (Tokyo) in November, this Business Companion fare $5382 is only $300 saving (around 5%) from the Business Promo fare of $5682. Not much saving to warrant as a bargain though it is still a saving nonetheless.
