      Look for the Independent brewery stuff for a good NZ beer, have spotted some of these around on guest taps or in bottle shops with a good import selection: Tutara, Garage Project, Panhead, Epic, Yeastie Boys, Monteiths, & Emmersons.

    They're the NZ equivalent of Fosters or XXXX, an inoffensive broad appeal/every country pub 'ale' (but really more like a lager in taste). More popular for their "Yeah Right" tongue-in-cheek Marketing than beer quality.
