good for those who missed out on this deal, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39243

    • Not sure how people could have missed out. It was active for quite a while. This "bargain" is for people who have been holding off waiting for a chance to try it but can't stand it anymore.

      • It wasn't THAT long. Not everyone gets on here every day.

Very tempting but I will wait to see it in action first. To make sure the 3D effect is just not a gimmick before I buy it.

Unfortunately does not come with bonus game like the dick smith one did.

    • Instead of worrying about the 3D effect being a gimmick I'm waiting to see if the 3D effect have any effects on your eyes. As a gamer I don't think I could force myself to turn the game off after 1 hour and there have already been health concerns raised about the 3D effects on developing eyes.

    • Ive tested the item. Trust me its like the movies without glasses.
So its alot more comfy on the eyes.
But only test it for less than 5 minutes, so I wouldnt know if I can last long

      • Yeah, and remember you can turn the 3D off if you don't really like it aswell.

dude you seriously think that theyre mass selling and delivering something that they're actually losing money on?…

  • Its not going to be a gimmick. That's what everyone who doesn't own a 3D TV says. But once you own one you'll know that technology is here to stay.
But good point Navi who knows what affects it could have.

Good price btw, its tempting but doubt the Mrs will be happy if I get one.

    • It's what everyone who is 30ish or older says because they have seen the fad attempted and failed about 5 times so far.

It will stay, that is true, but only because tv manufacturers are getting desparate as they have no decent way of differentiating their products from the competition. So they keep adding "features". I wish they'd just bring IPS & oled screens to the mainstream, I havent had a feature that hasn't felt like a gimmick in a long time.

And as far as the current tv (no comment on the 3ds at this stage) impementation goes, I personally believe it has failed. It'll take "one more" attempt to iron out the kinks before it sticks.

  • I played it at a training event last night, it has a 3D slider on the side to adjust the level of 3D which I found it comfortable set on around half. after 30mins or so I just turned it off completely. In saying that it was still pretty good.

  • I have seen 3D on a small 3.1" screen without glassess so if its like that, it will be great :)

    3DS = Virtual Boy 2

    • lmao

    • The newer generation should suffer too.

  • suffering for being cross eyed?? lol
those 3d printed images where you have to focus behind the image i.e go cross eyed have been out for quite a while and i haven't heard kinds going blind from that, also there was that 3d trial on digital tv using the split screen
