    • Unfortunately not. But free exchanges. Will only cost you ur time

i just bought 6 new shirts like 5 days ago and just got them yesterday! Has anybody ever got them to apply discounts after the fact?

    • Yes, in dream world..

  • Are these truly non iron shirts or do they still need to be ironed ?

    • Depends on ur washing machine and drying method

  • Great shirts. I bought 3 for $99 at the end of last year. Great quality, I just don't like the brass lapel inserts which must be removed before washing. As stated above be aware of the sizing

    • Brass inserts ? I didn't notice any on my 3 that just arrived.

  • Do they have a retail outlet? I’d like to find out what size I am for their shirts

    • +1

Store in London. I would order a few of varying styles/sizes and then just exchange them for whichever fit is best (exchange is free). They do provide a shirt sizing guide to help narrow your sizes down.

  • I want to buy some but I don't know which size I would be. In Van Heusens I am 39/86. Does anyone know the equivalent sizing for CT?

    • Which cut in Van Heusen?

      • European

        • I'd recommend Extra or Super Slim Fit in size 39 for CT. See their website for difference between Extra and the new Super Slim Fit.

Buyer beware. Non iron does come with risks.

      Interesting read!

    • +5

We all relate the chemical of formaldehyde to preservation – whether it’s the frog you dissected in high school or embalming.

Interesting. So in other words, if I wear the non-iron shirts, I can expect a youthful upper body forever?

    • +3

Thank you for sharing that. I’ll stick with ironing.

    • This is great. Although ur neg has nothing to do with the company it really highlights ur comment. Thanks

    • That's why I don't use Scrotox to get the wrinkles out anymore ;-)

    • +1

Thanks for the link. Sad to learn as I hate ironing. I wonder how much truth there so to the article though, and how dangerous non iron shirts really are, in the greater scheme of things

      • Please see my reply below!

It may be "dangerous" (cause some level of skin irritation) if you have a suspected skin allergy and you're part of the 9% of that group that are also allergic to formaldehyde, and the CT shirts use formaldehyde as part of the non-iron treatment (which isn't even confirmed!).

Let's see… poorly referenced blog post on a hip looking website that sells artisanal, iron-required shirts?

It is the untraceable chemicals that can do the most harm. And formaldehyde is the worst of them.

Oh no, untraceable chemicals! Funny that, because I haven't been able to find any trace of non-iron shirts causing any measure of health concern, beyond mild skin irritation for a minority of individuals who have allergies (~2%).

Formaldehyde is a carcinogen, causing cancer in the worse cases.

H2O causes drowning in the worst cases. There are thousands of chemicals used in textiles, food processing and just about every industry that are carcinogenic, toxic, or otherwise dangerous. That doesn't mean that what you're eating or wearing contains unwanted chemicals in a biologically relevant concentration.

Let's be more critical, everyone. That article has plenty of fearmongering (dissections? cadavers? CANCER? oh no!) but no actual data indicating there is anything to be worried about with non-iron fabrics.

These are beautiful quality shirts. The pure cotton, non iron are great

  • Thanks OP. First time to try this brand.

  • If we pay with paypal, is return free?

    • +1

If you use the PayPal free returns

Its almost gonna be summer time, what shirts are recommended for office wear

    • +2

Would also like to know this

    • Look at Business shirts and find a shirt made of poplin material. I have one and it's definitely thin and cool. Don't ever wear it on a winters day!

  • I own >10 of their non iron shirts. I’ve been wearing them daily for >1 year. These are true non-iron shirts, I just chuck me on a hanger immediately after washing and they’re fine. I’ve asked colleagues and everyone reckons the shirts look ironed. These shirts take quite a beating in the industry I work in and they go alright.

    • Good to know, looking at getting a few non irons.. how is the fit? I wear my button ups untucked with a pair of jeans, do these shirts fit more tucked style? Talking more the casual style checkered shirts.

      • I get the business casual ones and they are always tucked in. Fit is fantastic for me.

  • Link doesn't seem to work?

    • Turn off CR

      • Thanks, looks like it's working now.

Strangely not working on mobile even though I've never even been on the cash rewards site on my phone.

    • +1

i can only speak for business shirts, but they have extra long length so leaving it untucked looks very untidy.

  • I'm wearing a 14.5" collar, 33.5" sleeve TM Lewin 'Super Fitted' which is great, except for the biceps.
The sleeve width [measurement] (http://www.shirtfitfinder.com/images/measurements/sleeveWidt…) is 18.5 centimeters.
    * Any shirt brands that are 4 cm slimmer?
    * Or, could a tailor do this pretty easily?

  • I've tried clicking the link but nothing is working, not using CR either. I chat to the rep and they said they can't find details of this deal internally, any ideas?
    \

    • I just clicked and it works. Try again?

      • +1

I’m also only getting their regular pricing if I click the offer link. Does anyone know the URL extension - think I saw …/Alfred or something yesterday and that worked for me. Also not using CR and have tried different browser. I can get the 3 for $119 deal through another banner but then no free delivery either.

Edit: found it, it’s /alfie . Putting that at the end of the URL works for me.

        • still not working for me, any ideas?

        • @fuzionbear:
          Clear cookies
          Click on link again.
If you still can't open it try opening on an incognito tab

If you do open the page, add 3 shirts, it will show $99. If you don't check out but leave it in your cart for a few hours and it will revert to full price.

If this happens may need to start from scratch. The reverse is also true

        • +1

@fuzionbear: Go into the revisions to the ozbargain post. The second revision has a link with the alfie code. For some reason it only works if I click that link, not if I type it in the address bar. Very weird but seems to work!

        • +4

@Mightyboosh: thanks! confirmed this will work when using the link with alfie code

www.ctshirts.com/alfie (use this for anyone else with problems seeing the deal)

  • What are the good sites to buy work pants to go with these shirts?

    • you can get pants from charles t as well. I usually buy them when they are 20 percent off (which happens from time to time)

  • Yeah, not working.

What happened to the link in the OP?

    • +1

      read my comment above!

      • Awesome, cheers.

  • Why do they skip 40cm neck sizes?!

    • +1

      I found out from support:

James: Technically the 41cm is a 40/41. Let me explain.
James: We actually produce and sell in inches but convert the sizing to cm for our Australian customers
James: So a 15.5" neck is 39cm. A 16" neck is about 40.51cm so we list it as 41 or 40/41

  • just out of curiosity, what card are you guys using to avoid overseas transaction fees. Cost me $4 the last time. I think it is time I switch

    • 28 Degrees Mastercard, which is specifically designed for international transactions. No transaction fees, fair (mid-market) conversion rates if buying in a foreign currency.

      • 28 Degrees Mastercard, which is specifically designed for international transactions

However if you do make your repayments by Bpay you are slugged $1
still better than $4 which I am currently paying

or I could use the online service centre but only once every five days

Am assuming that if I don't want to set up a direct debit, I should still manage to make my repayments without costing extra

Buying shirts online should be easier :)

    • Isn't this deal in AUD$?

      • Yes but most banks still sting you for a fee if the merchant is overseas. They made this change quite a while ago, maybe more than a year.

    • i used macquarie debit card, got it just for overseas transactions

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/cards_with_no_overseas_tra…

  • How do they not have size 37 collars left :/

Edit: nvm for some reason 37 is available when looking at individual shirts, just not for searching.

  • i have ordered 2 days back payment taken off but no order email comformation received or no email communication from them at all anyone facing same issue ?

    • Ordered on Sunday. Got despatch email on Monday morning and just got SMS that delivery will be made tomorrow. I'm in Sydney cbd

  • Ok, I ordered.

Checked my bank statement and I got charged $249. What the fudge….

  • Have many people tried their light weight range of business shirts e.g. the poplin? I always veer towards the twill mid/heavy rang but thinking they could be ideal for summertime but concerned they may be too transaparent/thin?

    • +1

In last deal I decided to try one of the natural cool shirts in plain blue. Its the lightest shirt I have ever had. Will be buying more before summer.

    • +1

My shirts arrived today, which included a poplin. I reckon it'll make a great summertime shirt. It's light and soft, but no issues with transparency (at least on this one, which is coloured/patterned, I can't speak for a plain white one)

      • Good to know. Think I'll have to trial run three poplin shirts :)

        • Worst-case you just exchange them for some thicker shirts and write "people could see muh nips" in the reason for return field.

        • True or just pass them onto my other half to wear :)

        • +1

had one for a couple of years, stays really cool in summer, but do not ever wear it alone on a cold day in winter!

          • +1

@R-Man: Bought five poplin & one of their stay cool shirts and they're definitely cooler to wear. Will buy more I think!

  • Where is the 3 for $99 link?

    Cheers

—- saw it revisit the page

  • +1

the best I can get is 3 shirts $119. How do you get 3 for $99?
    Is there a different link?
What does CR mean? "switch off CR"

  • FWIW I tried ordering 6 shirts (two different orders) they cancelled one on me saying it is for new customers and/or one per household. YMMV.

  • Love me some CT

  • Ordered on the 13th. Received today. Super quick and loving their super slim fit shirts.

  • Put in an order for 5 shirts for $178. Awesome deal as the extra 2 shirts are at $39.95. You can do max 6.

I was buying 3 of the same shirts plus a $49.95 on sale 4th shirt to form a 4 shirts multibuy on the laptop just before i saw this ozb post. The shirts were $79 each for the 3, $59.95 in a multibuy. Crazy how the same shirts on my phone were 3 for $99.

I have a few shirts id like to get once the new super slim comes in. As Ive only ever gone to extra slim so i was abit worried. I just wanted them with less baggy upper arms as they make them super huge in the upper arms. Hoping super slim is tapered in alot more here than the chest and tummy and hence trying.

With that said has anyone tried to use these 3 for $99 offers twice??it is once per household so presumably do they cross check if i put a secone order in. Or if i create a new account with the same delivert address do they deny your order?

Could delivee to the mrs at her work address otherwise. Or are they pretty lenient?

    • Yes they do cross check.
They almost immediately cancelled and refunded my 2nd order (a week after the first) and emailed to say the code I used can only be used once per household.

      • did you deliver to same address and did you use the same account/name to order from??

        • Yes and yes.

To be honest I never read the T&Cs until after they emailed me to say cancelled.
I just assumed the code would not work a 2nd time - or if it did work the order would be successful.

If anyone has trouble with the 3 for $99, or delivery cost applying, try these links instead.

    • Many thanks for this - I needed this ….

    • +1

Perfect this is still working as of 30/10/2018 using incognito mode.

  • Thanks OP

  • Is there anywhere to try these on before buying? Or a Brick & Mortar store they fit similar too? Hate to start online ordering of shirts and not get the right size.

    • +1

U could try tm lewin brand available in their store or at Myer. Tm Lewin I found a little smaller in regards to fit. Their exchange policy is very reasonable you could order a few and return the ones that didn't fit right.

      • Cheers, I will have a look in Myer. I see there is also a deal on for TM shirts today too haha

  • Not seeing the 3 for $99 deal anymore on the link, replaced with multi-buy shirts. Deal ended?

    • Nevermind! Systmworks links above worked thanks

      • Yep. Agreed.

  • I think this deal is dead
