  • Have been wanting to buy this keyboard for a long time. Will pull the trigger this time. Thank you.

    • You are welcome.

I signed up for a free trial of eBay Plus to get free shipping for this. $103 is a good price for this keyboard + mouse combo.

I am a Mac user and still purchased this.

I’ve had this keyboard for years. It’s so good. Just wish it was Bluetooth.

    • I wish it was bluetooth too, my little receiver broke. Now the whole set is useless.

      • The battery life last so long I hardly remember the last time I changed it. Good keyboard. Space saver as numpad is seldom used.

      • Same, forgot receiver was on my work laptop and it snapped in half when laptop in my bag - was gutted :(

Wish it was Bluetooth or MS used receivers similar to Logitech's unifying receivers..

    • Me too, but I don't think it's good.

  • Love this keyboard and mouse combo. Been using it for years. Super long warranty as well. It becomes unresponsive about a month before warranty expired and managed to exchange for a new set with no issue. Got it when MS had the cash back deal years back.

  • Bought this in 2014 for $89 when Microsoft ran a 40% of RRP. Just finished using the keyboard and mouse for eight+ hours today. This is the gold standard in keyboards.

    • How difficult is it to get used to the layout of this keyboard coming from a normal one?

    • This is the gold standard in keyboards.

I hate to be that guy but there are far nicer mechanical keyboards out there.. Probably none in this exact "ergonomic" design but I guess if this design is what floats your boat, can't be one to judge! :)

  • I have been using this keyboard for 5 years and love it, just wish the function keys were a little larger but besides that it is perfect for me. One cool thing is that if you use a 13 inch laptop this keyboard fits perfectly over the laptops keyboard because of the arch.

    • Have been using this for a year. I just wish the number pad was attached to the keyboard. this is the only negative for me.

      • I think their reasoning for keeping it separate is for ergonomics i.e., to reduce the strain on the hand for moving hand all the way to the right to grab the mouse.

Also, I would think the majority don't need the numpad and are happy with it being a separate item.

  • I like this keyboard, but I have had issues with the receiver if it is inserted in the usb hub on my monitor. Mine needs a very clear path, which is a shame. Bluetooth or a quality receiver like the logitechs would make it a 10/10.

  • I’ve had one of these for a few years now and it’s great. Would love a wired version, mine seems to drop the first character typed when it has been idle for a while, and the battery life isn’t great.

Oh, and a left handed version of the mouse please.

  • One of the space bars became defective on mine within a year of daily use. I won’t buy again.

      Warranty?

  • Am I the only one that had a negative experience with this? I tried to swap from the 4000 series and I thought this one was rubbish. The keys feel flimsy, are noisy and the change of layout is a pain. Also, the hand-rest gets dirty quickly and cannot be easily cleaned. The mouse is great though.

I had a poor childhood experience using these keyboards.

When I played 2-player Mortal Kombat II with my older brother his right elbow kept digging into my left side. Also the high, middle, and low punch/block/kick buttons aren’t aligned in a normal row (Insert/Home/PgUp, Delete/End/PgDn) so player 2 has a keyboard handicap.

    I always lost as player 2 :’(

It's okay, now you're number OneJay

  • I tried to use this but the learning curve was too steep for me. But what really put me off from persisting was the dongle… seems if you lose it or break it the entire set is lost as a new dongle won't work with it. What a poor design choice.

  • Damn, I bought the Logitech MK850 keyboard & mouse combo from Computer Alliance instead of this one.
