    This has been the regular price for years. They've been on sale for $1 too.

  • Has anyone actually ever used the Ethernet capability built into HDMI?

  • As others said this is price has been always. But yeah is a decent price and with their decent hours Officeworks always by goto for a HDMI lead.

    Always funny to walk in and have their staff asking if you need help seeing dollar signs on you looking at HDMI cables, for you to then bend down and pickup the couple buck cheapie one.

    In case anyone's wondering, these work fine for 4k HDR. I've been using a few of the 1.5m cable for my devices for the past couple of months and haven't had any issues.

  • Does anyone know what version HDMI this is?

    • Version numbers for HDMI don't refer to cables, but the devices.

      HDMI cables have only a few standards, including:
      - Standard HDMI Cable – up to 1080i and 720p;
      - High Speed HDMI Cable – 1080p, 4K 30 Hz, 3D and deep color

      These are High Speed so should be fine for 4K.

      There's also a new certification program (Premium High Speed) which guarantees 18Gbit/s.

    HDMI cable with ethernet? wot

  • Not a bargain, they have been this price for years.

  • Will be v1.4

    HDMI 1.4 supported 4K resolutions, yes, but only at 24 or 30 frames per second. That works fine for movies, but isn't useful for gaming and many TV broadcasts, which require 50 or 60 fps. Also, HDMI 1.4 limited 4K Ultra HD content to 8-bit color, though it is capable of 10- or 12-bit color

      Yeah this does not seem to be HDMI 2.0 or 2.2 or whatever the latest HDMI is now so it is like buying previous previous gen GPU's at previous gen GPU prices.. no deal.

      There's actually no such thing as a 1.4, 2.0 or 2.2 cable. Version numbers refer to the device and what features they support.

      For cables, there's standard, high speed, premium high speed and soon, ultra premium.

      These cables are high speed and should support 18Gbit/s, which is enough for 4K60.
