    But why?

  • happy exercise

    No such thing…

…at least not involving hoola hoops

    • Average Australian Adults would more likely be trapped by this 95cm hoop😱
The exercise is getting out of it.

  • O
    You know…for kids.

    • 8 sections assembled together is 95cm width. You can also adjust the size with 6 or 7 sections(73cm or 84cm width respectively). So it would be fit for both kids and adults.

      • Judging by your response, you've never seen Hudsucker Proxy.

95cm diameter is too small for average Australian adults.

        • Well spotted! Order cancelled😁

      • fit for both kids and adults.

Don't think average Australians were considered.

        Waist stats for Oz (2012):
On average, men aged 18 years and over had a waist measurement of 97.9 cm, while women had a waist measurement of 87.7 cm

This 95cm diameter product is not suited to average adult Australians & may not be large enough for many children to use!!
        Lucky it comes apart!
Even average females would struggle to spin this Hola Hoop!

The spam around here is getting ridiculous.

      amazon.com.au is becoming a dropshipper's paradise.

    • +3

Reported as SPAM soon after posted as there was no indication this was a bargain.

But Mod instead added advertiser's link to their site in deal description & my comment this is SPAM was removed!

Told it is up to us to show it is not a bargain, rather than merchant to demonstrate it is. So OzBargain is now a Spammers paradise👎

      • Yep. All in accordance with using the voting system as a true indicator of this deal's worth.

  • OP perhaps amend title to Hula Hoop not Hola.

    • +1

There is a reason for that dodgie spelling…
hula hoop is a registered trademark of WHAM-O HOLDING, LTD.!

Given the size of this hoop compared to the average Australian adults' girth, this is about as effective as the Holly Hop Drive in
      producing any movement😁

Yet the title of OP's linked page says …

        Yescom Detachable Hula Hoop …

… I suppose you and I could spin it around our necks.

        • So this is a fake product!
          🚨Trademark infringement alert🚨

I tone my leg muscles by giggling one of these, while watching daytime tv 📺 & eating donuts🍩 Honest, these things work🐷

          @PJC:
You're so sweet - now hand Mama another pile of bacon covered in maple syrup🐷 I'm tired after all that exercise😉

  • This deal is only about shifting product, not bodies👎

  • Geez, so much hate for the fat guys here. Those statistics mentioned seem a bit high.
Judging by how many clothing seems to be stocked in the men's section 32-34 (which is also my size ) the apparent average waist size for men seems to be around 82-89cm.

Don't know about the deal though. The detachable nature ruins the fun I had as a kid with them (throwing them with backspin, them kicking them as hard as I could as it came back to me - they went seemingly impossible distances)

    • I doubt those good old hoops were as expensive or fashionable. kids hoops only $5 at Kmart I loved them too. Doubt these would stand up to much abuse & fun.

The merchant came here just to advertise, wouldn't give a reason why it was a bargain until pushed, & they just want to upsell other products…

Plus it's the same product on so many ebay listings & available cheaper elsewhere.
Use of a Registered Trademark on their deal link is dodgie, but common.

The main benefit in being detachable is for the seller (easier shipping) rather than the buyer, but it's the main benefit in title! Using a hoop that may come apart doesn't sound like any benefit.

ABS wouldn't publish incorrect stats. Those are used by the garment & other industries. Rather, sizes have probably increased in the last 6 years.

Op claimed this fits adults. Even for the waist size you give, a 95cm padded hoop could be a bit small to freely rotate & get full benefit.

An Australian sizing site for hoops recommended this size for Petite Body Size - women under 167cm tall, sizes 6-10!

And the most benefit is lost to those who probably need the exercise benefit most - those a bit big to fit this hoop. It wasn't designed for the Australian market.
