Free shipping without prime too since it's $49+

    • Good point, I have become complacent to Prime.

      • Prime should get release day delivery, might have to wait a few days without Prime or paying for expedited delivery.

  • +2

(profanity) yeah, looks like I'll be spending 10 less than in ten ded. Thanks for bringing to my attention, OP.

I have stopped pre-ordering games altogether. We have made all developers lazy who see half baked games as cash grabs.

    • +1

Why is that a problem? It is free to preorder and cancel on Amazon. Amazon will auto adjust the lowest price during the period from your preorder to release which is great since Amazon always auto match the lowest price constantly.

If you don't want it anymore the day before just cancel it no drama.

      • You are missing the point I am making here.
When developers are creating games, they will put them out for pre orders. The more pre orders they have, the more cash they are guaranteed to get (even if a minor group cancel pre orders most wont). So they get lazy, they wont make a game with the players in mind, they will just put a title together to release something often riddled with bugs, limited functionality (the rest of which will be sold as expansion packs or micro-transactions). Take street fighter 5 as an example, the game at release was just a skeleton of what a real Street Fighter game should be like, and they made everyone buy all the characters and costumes.

With all the pre-orders, developers are not making games like they used to.

You are missing the point here. As a consumer you can preorder without any payment. Sure it gives them the number but if the game is not to your liking you can free to cancel your preorder.

No one is forcing you for a purchase. Not you or the developer. What the developer do by all means not related to the preorder numbers. The preorder numbers only dictates the number of physcial units they will print on release.

The myth of preordering game makes developer lazy needs to stop.

It is those that receive payments that makes developer lazy, aka early access games that want you to pay full price to play alpha/beta version of the game and abandon the game even before it releases.

        • @Letrico: I can argue about why this is an issue all day but you know how to use google, search and see what I mean.

Game looks to be a pretty casual crapfest

    • -3

      Buy Spider-Man instead.

    • ffs OzB, stop trying to censor downvoted comments. Good or bad, I'd like to see all comments please. A number of people are similarly reluctant about this game.

      • +1

Same I am reluctant too, no wild pokemon battle and only gym battles. You level up by catching and feeding candy to pokemon.

The only reason I want to play it is because I can have Pikachu riding shoulder and I can ride big pokemon.

        • Looks like the "wild" battles are there, they arn't "random" you can see the pokemon in the grass and engage them if u wish.

        • @Nalar: Yea but no "battle" though. Just fling balls to get candy and then use it to increase stats. Not sure how it level ups.

        • @Letrico: I think thats kinda good, gets reeaaaalllll boring having to battle down pokemon you know you can beat .

        • @Nalar: true but I dunno how it levels up. The only part that shows level up and gaining exp is during gym battles. If I farm candy I can have a 999 sp attack Pikachu and one hit everything?!

        • @Letrico: There are plenty random trainer battle around the world too

        • @Nalar: I don't think there are enough battle to make your pokemons level 100. Besides I don't know what is the use of level since you can candy buff the stats too. The mechanics are all over the place haha.

But it doesn't as long as you're logged in?

  • You need the ball to play co-poo? Also, if you cancel prime AFTER you preorder, you get free ship?

    • +3

      What's co-poo like ? Sounds interesting

      • +5

It's featured in the Human Centipede game.

      • Hehe, yeah, I mean co-op.

    • Yep, if you order while you have prime then cancel you keep the expedited shipping.

    • +3

No you don't, can just use one joycon each, need the ball to get Mew though.

      • +1

Hm, $70 for Mew? No thanks.

        • It also has the same functionality as Pokémon GO Plus if that's worth anything you.

  • +4

Each game allows you to travel with the starter Pokémon in question, either Pikachu or Eevee.

Additionally, certain Pokémon will be version exclusive. So far we know that Oddish, Sandshrew and Growlithe will only appear in the wild in Let’s Go, Pikachu! while Bellsprout, Vulpix, and Meowth will only be in Let’s Go, Eevee!

Just in case people were wondering

    • Thanks so much for that, Eevee it is for me! Looks to be similar to what they did with gold vs silver (silver: Bellsprout, vulix - Gold: Growlithe oddish) I think?

  • +2

How they drop the version including the Pokeball as well

    • +2

      $115 on Amazon, $10 cheaper then JB-Hifi

      • Has been down as low as $112. Just hoping for more as the Pokeball is still $53 then. Whereas when you buy the game and Pokeball together it normally gives a $20 discount over separately.
