  • Not criticising, just asking : what are the benefits over my $1 iphone app? Or Mac Preview?

    • Our tools are actually free to use, twice an hour via our site! The subscription removes the limit for those that want to use Smallpdf more than the limits imposed.

Do check the site and the tools out yourself. You might like it more than you'd think!

I like the Free option… Good for students, et al.

        Will that last?

OTOH, I don't buy "pay forever" software.

The 'net brings Many Users of great software to your door,
Take a few dollars from each & look forward to more buyers, later
but don't expect the world to rent S/W, is my way of thinking..

The Office 365 scheme seems lame IMO.

Microsoft can pull it off, due to market share,
but such schemes can make developers lazy.

Write Once & wait for (excuse me) "suckers" to pay forever.

        What keeps your developers creative?

        My 2.2 cents, only.

        • The free version is here to stay. We use the money from the subscriptions to cover the costs of running the site for the free users, on top of paying our employees!

You're correct about the subscription model - even Adobe had changed this and shifted to this. However, in our case - with the cost for a month of subscription is merely a cup of coffee, our users have been rather happy so far. : )

    • Nu, so what's the app…? ;~)

  • I use this web site fairly regularly, and it does a good job of converting PDF to word if the file was output as a structured doc, as opposed to an image.
I’m not sure who uses it so often they would need to pay for the service.

    • Cheers!

We're testing out an OCR function to convert scanned PDF documents to Word as well! Seems like you're one of the selected users that have access to this already! :)

Thank you for the support by using our site. Regardless of whether you are a paid user or not, everybody contributes to our growth and are greatly appreciated!
