    It doesn't.

    For some reason outright fraudulent claims are not only tolerated but celebrated if devices have a computer chip in them because magic and something. I mean you wouldn't be questioning if a set of mechanical scales could measure your BMI because you understand how it works and that's ridiculous.

    This is hilarious. It claims to be "giving accurate statistics" (nice avoidance of the word measure there) on:

    BMI
    Muscle mass
    Bone mass
    Subcutaneous fat
    Visercal fat
    Motivation (oh you thought you knew that one? WRONG)
    Basel Metabolic Rate (stop, I'm falling off of my chair here)
    Water - I'm assuming it means it knows your hydration levels …

      You're correct. At best it can measure your weight and skin conductivity - but skin conductivity is highly variable and also a highly imprecise measure of the things it is claiming to measure.

      Well, it can most definitely measure your BMi if you give the app your height. Other measurements on the other hand are questionable.
