Holy shit, Coles 5% the holy grail!

    • Is this sarcasm?

      • -7

reckon so. better deals out there

        • +6

          Where?

        • +13

The point is this is the first 5% off Coles eGift card offers to general public, with no membership fee and credit card surcharge.

        • @O O: the credit surcharge with my company one is a pain.

        • +3

@O O: open a Suncorp bank account for free?

        • @kcbworth:
Suncorp used to be excellent but they recently stopped to accept foreign issued credit cards. (for security concerns I guess) I have a few foreign issued cards that gives 10% cashback + forex fee waiver for "foreign" currency transactions (such as AUD). This deal came just in time.

But I guess for most guys here Suncorp is a better choice due to instant delivery and no additional credit card OTP verification. Just save your card and get as many as you want at the snap of a finger.

        • +1

          @kcbworth:

Just tried the app from the new platform, can join as a customer of one of their insurance brands also.

Need to wait 24 hours before you can purchase gift cards though.

        • @kcbworth: I ordered a Woolworths wish card from Suncorp once. It took 2 days to arrive (ordered on a Saturday). Never used since.

        • @Slo20: may have been old platform?

        • @kcbworth: it was when the Suncorp benefits first came out in May. If it’s no longer that way then must have been teething issues. I never gave them a second chance as Cashrewards was always reliable for wish cards.

        • @Slo20:

Can you use Amex with Suncorp?

        • +1

@Spizz: I don’t believe so. When you go to select payment method it only shows visa or MasterCard, as well as an ‘ewallet cash’ option.

        • @bamzero: I missed when this was posted on ozbargain previously. Thanks so much for the tip.

        • @Spizz: yes you can. I have been using it.

        • @kcbworth:

I opened an account with them when this was posted earlier.

Where exactly do I go to purchase the gift cards? I don't see an option in my Suncorp account.

        • @Slo20: what you describe is the same as RACQ

        • +1

          @Spizz: Unfortunately not (I've tried)!!

        • @Slo20:

Cashrewards probably still the way to go. Looks to me like the new Suncorp platform doesn't have Wish cards, only divisional gift cards. Admittedly I've never tried one of the divisional ones to see if they actually work across all the brands, but since they're the same price, I'll stick with Wish cards for now.

        • @O O:

Turns out you do need a membership?

        • @kcbworth:

Yes. Don't understand Why people voted me down

        • @kcbworth:

Thanks, didn't know about this. I've had a suncorp account for years, no money in it, just tried and was able to register for the rewards program. I'll try it out later

        • +1

@bamzero: I've used the Suncorp "Woolworths" cards at bigw many times?

        • +1

          @bamzero:

Woolworths eGift Cards are actually WISH eGift cards with Suncorp.

        • @truetypezk:

Which country do I have to move to to get one of these 10% cashback cards?

        • @Rakddon:

Thanks for the tip. I've never bothered buying the Woolworths ones through suncorp for this reason.

        • @sridhar:

          I still haven't succeeded.
It seems you must use their new app. But when I go to any page the 'Rewards' and 'Suncorp' lines are at the top, but nothing else loads. I use Samsung S5 with Android 5.
          App doesn't work for me.

  • wont last long since its posted here!

  • Most of these rates can be bettered by using the Gift Card page on here

But good for those who haven't got access to all of the offers.

    • +5

Mostly in it for the 5% Coles w/o credit card fees.

      • +2

If you're a member of RACQ or Suncorp or have the entertainment book then there are no cc fees according to the wiki.

        • +5

          No coles in entertainment book?

        • @josho9:

          Wiki needs updating.

  • +3

      • cannot sign up.

    • Yep - don't trust anything to do with the Whyndam / World Mark group. Their focus is to make money and that's usually at your expense.

      • Oh, like every other business?

        • Hah. Plenty of good businesses out there mate.

  • +3

I was unable to sign up, kept getting an error suggesting I refresh the page

would prefer if I could use Amex to purchase.

  • +2

    Can’t sign up.

  • " A problem occurred, please refresh the page and try again."

  • Can’t sign up. Page Error

It was too good to be true!

  • +1

Although I got the error message initially, I did notice that after a few tries it gave me "This email if already registered" message. I then tried to login and I had no issues.

    • Same here

    • same here as well.

  • Site getting hammered by OZBers

  • Unable to buy gift cards. Errors

    • I was just about to ask has anyone tried buying giftcards and have been successful.

      • +1

I purchased but that was prior to posting the deal. Maybe site is being ozbargained?

        • Mine was successful as well but i have yet receive the e-gift card itself. It doesn't usually take long to get the email wouldn't it? i got the confirmation email for purchase just not the card itself. Have you?

        • @tooniezz: error processing payment and no money taken from account.

        • @tooniezz: same here

  • Looks like there is a fee

Note: If signing up without a WorldMark or Wyndham membership or employee number, you may be charged a subscription fee. See Terms and Conditions for details.

I managed to sign up and purchase DJ gift card.
Select 'Other' and clicked the sign up button 3 times, until I got a message saying username already used. Then proceeded to sign in.

  • +6

Careful guys fhis is a timeshare mob

    • Hence this I guess.

      • Probably more the reverse, the discount programme is there to give gullible old people an impression of value for money to continue being reamed for more decades. But still I wouldn’t want them having my details.

  • If I buy a Woolworths eGift card, can I use it in store?

    • Yes

  • Thanks for posting it OP.

  • Thank op bought Coles 500 and Wish 500

    • How long did it take to receive the gift card?

      • +1

Bought an hour ago, haven't got the egift card in the mail yet, got invoice though!

        • +8

Why would you spend a $1000 on a site without seeing if it works for you first (like say $50)?

        • +2

          Thanks for the money Morningstar

        • I thought Morningstar is good at financial advice.

  • Nice, been hoping to one day get Coles vouchers without needing to tie it to a Bank I'm not associated with of or as part of an insurance package. Was getting error messages last night like everyone here was but I seem to be able to log in now.

Does coles have a similar smartphone app for storing ecards likes Woolworths does?

    • +1

      use Stocard

  • +2

If anyone has received the giftcards please do report back. While I have signed up, a bit skeptical to order something 😒

  • thanks

  • +8

*** Update : Don't bother trying to sign up as it will not work for Wyndham non member. I managed to go through with the purchase and received the order number last night. Rang them this morning about my e-gift cards, they mentioned it's only for Wyndham members only. So they will do a refund to whatever payment you made it from.

    • +1

Good advice, have reported your post to mods, so they can update the listing with this limitation (given many wont read down this far)

    • +1

Interesting, I think they need to update there T's & C's as they say: "For Gift Card orders, Lifestyle Solutions by WorldMark formally accepts your offer as soon as your order is placed, and does not offer a refund, credit note or replacement if you change your mind about a purchase or make an incorrect choice."

So they are rejecting the order after" formally accepting" it???

      • Yes. This is essentially what has happened. So don't be surprise that there will be heaps of emarketing stuff in your sign up email inbox.

  • +1

Thank you! But I just made payment hahaha. Only thing I have to waiting for refund from now lol

  • +1

Sorry everyone, worked for me so I thought I'd share! I'll update the post now to warn others.

  • so, anyone got their egiftcards already?

    • interested to know as well.
