Did a similar thing with the Sony 75" KD75X9000F, bought it down to $4800 ish and had JB Hifi match using the offer above.
Harvey Norman and Good Guys also matched the price but didn't have stock.

    • I got two 75” Sony’s for $3600 each from hardly normal thy were delivered on Tuesday they had them for $3995
But I asked to pay $3600

thank you for the detailed post!

Good post, although the 55" can be had slightly cheaper here if you can pick up from Sydney or you have a company address you can get it sent too.

They also have stock so a quicker option than Videopro.

  • Yep they do, thanks! The FZ950 55’ for $2368 before shipping

    Great deal!

  • 12 month warranty? Seems like a bad idea given how expensive these are. Panasonic will be very little help to you too.

      Australian consumer law….

they're right though. Panasonic don't have to help after 12 months

        • +1

It’s always easier when under warranty but it’s reasonable to assume a life of over 12 months for this, therefore Australian Consumer Law should offer protection for any issues in the first few years

Panasonic admitted in court a couple of years ago to the ACCC that the expected life span of a medium priced TV was 8 years. So they've been bitten before. 3years shouldn't be a problem and longer will be eminently possible.

        • @nitens: yeah u right but i was just mentioning that they directly don't have to help. the retailer does

Need to kill my VT60 to have an excuse to buy this :p

Give kids Wii remotes, apply lubrication to hands of kids, give kids lots of sweets, get them to play very exciting Wii games. Be shocked when TV is broke and exclaim to other that the kids cost you a fortune.

If you don't have kids, put sign up outside saying free sweets inside for kids, should work.

      • Or it could get you a visit from the friendly local constabulary

I bought the 86" LG from the Goodguys last week. Will they honor the 115 percent refund on price difference for videopro eBay with the voucher?

    • Non targeted offer from a reputable Australian seller. Don't see why not

      • I've used other stores then on that list in past to get the refund but not off ebay

    • And here I was thinking 82" was the largest available…

    • I tried to get Good Guys and Harvey Norman to price match and both said they won't price match eBay, even though it is Video Pro on eBay. They won't even price match their own eBay prices. They said it is because it is eBay that is paying most of the 20% discount.

Perhaps the margins are different on LG TV's, thats the only reason I can think of as to why it might have been different for you. As I mentioned, i was able to get GG, HN and JB near me to all match the Videopro ebay price for my Sony. I had one salesmen tell me they don't make a cent on it at that price but that is obviously crap because they would have actually said NO to the deal if that's the case. I don't doubt it's cutting their margins fine but if they won't come to that party, find someone else who will, or worst case just get it from Videopro on ebay.

  • Does Myer still sell Panasonic OLED? None listed on their website and none on display in the Sydney cbd store. No staff around the last couple of visits to ask. I have some vouchers I was hopping to use with a price match.

  • There are reports of both Good Guys and JB price matching these ebay sales.

If you can collect and take it home yourself, that means no delivery if you can't get to a Videopro store.

Plus stock for Videopro comes in early October.

    • I bought a LG OLED on one of these ebay offers last year from videopro.

They simply cancelled the deal 2 days later and that was it.

I probably wouldn't have left negative feedback but Ebay dont let you comment at all - its as if it never happened

Walked in to Harvey Norman yesterday and bought one of the 55" panasonic oleds for $2490 with a 128 piece sidchrome tool trolley thrown in.

The tools were available with all OLEDs and QLEDs.

      What an odd combo

      • Totally odd… but likely to claw me back a couple of hundred on Gumtree, so I'm happy.

BTW the FZ950 is just an FZ1000 without the soundbar.

The soundbar by all reports is really good, but you could get Dolby Atmos by buying a soundbar that supports Atmos and by plugging your DVD/Xbox into the soundbar, and the Soundbar into the TV.

Also note the these OLED's dont support Dolby Vision, but do support HDR10+

  • whats Dolby Atmos? Better than DTS Surround 7.1 ?
