Similar to the deal in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/402962 however Google One has fully rolled out now for Australia.

For the price of $2.49, you can redeem $7.00 Play Store credit as your first Google One benefit which I believe can be used towards continuing the subscription too, which means 4-months for the price of $3.00 out of pocket. Alternatively you can just spend the $7.00 towards IAPs / paid apps.

    I don't get this… I'm a paid Google Drive subscriber, have been for months. I received an email on 30th August saying that Google One was coming, if I go to sign up it says it's not in my area yet… What's going on?

    What if you're a pixel user with unlimited free space for photo and video backups? Does Google one essentially replace drive?

      I have a pixel 2 and google one account. They are two separate things. The unlimited photo space does not eat into the google one space

    Just a quick note to others who want to purchase something more than the $7 credit

    I was after buying an app at $8 and thought could pay with with the $7 credit and remainder $1 with actual credit card but alas no…

    UPDATE:

    yes you can use your existing credit
    just have to pay with your paypal or credit card FIRST

    Google system will then auto deduct the credit from the in-app purchase price and charge you the remainder so in my case it charged me $1

    at least that's what my credit card statement says that's pending

    If anyone was waiting until the offer is close to expiry to subscribe and get the $7 credit, be wary. I just upgraded from the free Google One (use to be my Drive account I suppose) to the $2.49 pm and there is no $7 credit in my account. Even though the T&C in the OP says available until Feb 28th it looks like that "extra" benefit is not being given out.
