Received an email stating my google drive had been updated to 'google one'. Tucked near the bottom was a 'Here is 7 dollars Google Play credit to welcome you to Google One' button. So don't delete/ignore it like you normally would.

Link just goes to play store, since it's targeted.

edit: Might only be for paid google drive subscribers?

      Must be redeemed by 28/2/19, and spent by 31/5/19, as per their email. Pretty reasonable though.

      I think it has some kind of geofencing or something, because when I visit that page I just get the "coming soon" page which asks me to register for updates.

    Received the email after I opened the Google One App on Windows, https://one.google.com/ , try clicking thru here then you should be directed to the new App and receive the email.

    All new subscribers to Google One - sign up for $2.50 - redeem $7.00 Play Store credit benefit - cancel subscription. Or use that $7 towards the subscription as I think you can pay with your credit.. so almost 4 months worth for the price of 1!
