    Got offered a $50 voucher with a 30 day expiry in place of the gift card. Declined, I want the gift card.

      Why not accept the voucher and purchase an ebay gift card with it? The vouchers they produce come with no restrictions so it would work that way.

      same. already signed up back with the google home promo (and subsequently cancelled the renewal for next year)

      Why send offers to existing customers.. best you're going to do is annoy them if they see a cheaper deal than they already signed up for :/

    I sent them an email. Had to provide screenshots of emails etc. This is the reply today :

    Thanks for sending us the screenshots we have requested. I have submitted this and requested our Promotions Marketing Team to include you on the list for you to get your eBay gift card. We apologise if until now you haven't received yours but rest assured you'll get yours.

    Just got an actual telephone call from ebay Plus!
    offered me a $60 voucher code instead of the gift card, since the marketing/promotions department was taking so long.
    I accepted…. and then he told me that I'd still get the gift card anyway, since they'd already ordered it…. so we'll see what happens.

    Geez. Like squeezing lemonade from a rock… or whatever that saying is.

      Yeah, after contacting them about 4 times over chat they first offered be a $15 voucher, in addition to the gift card they thought had already been sent out. I accepted.
      Then, a few days later they offered a $40 voucher instead of the gift card. I accepted, and bought a $40 gift card with the voucher, so that I didn't only have 30 days to use it.
      Not sure what the hell is going on over at eBay, but they really don't have their sh*t together on this one.

        Ha! Just on this one alone? Seems that lately nothing they do turns out right. I'm still waiting for a reply that was referred to their marketing department for approval 3 weeks ago, after being promised a 24-48 hr turnaround. Not even an acknowledgement, let alone a reply. Their laughably named Customer Service couldn't approve anything, couldn't answer any questions, and even thought "seeing that there was no response from the Marketing Team and it has been longer than expected may only mean that the request wasn't approved"!!! Not sure how to escalate it any further, "Customer Service" won't give any alternative contact methods. Seems ebay plus gets a higher tier of customer support if you are willing to pay for it, otherwise you get treated like crap.

      Email arrived for original gift card, only a month late!
      Email says $40, however gift card balance check shows $60.
      Nearly makes up for all the time I spent questioning where it was.

            @kyle: Me too. A $50 card, which is what I was meant to get. I confirmed the balance. This is after they sent me a $50 voucher in lieu of the gift card. $49 for $100 :D
