What Should Be Aware of When Booking with Scoot on Trip.com?

I'm planning to fly to China next month. By searching in skyscanner, I found ticket of Scoot on Trip.com is the cheapest.

From what I know that it's most likely no free food, no checkin baggage included. Besides that, is there anything else I should be aware of?

I had a good trip on Scoot. Sometimes you can upgrade inflight for better seats with meals etc. (eg OOL-SIN = $100)
Electro-tinted windows are cool. No USB power so bring powerpacks.

If you're going through Changi Airport - don't forget your DutyFree/Food Hall vouchers from the T2 info desk. Just show your boarding passes to claim.

    • Adding $100 is definitely worth. Just had a look at Scoot's website, MEL-CAN Economy is $280, while ScootBiz is $720 :(

let them know when you enter the plane that you'd be interested in paying for the upgrade if there are any empty seats in biz. (Show them your seat number so they can come get you before/after take off - better still hand them your seat number on a piece of paper/business card for efficiency and have CASH on hand -$80 SIN/AUD according to derrko below)

        and this promo

    • i think u mean this? Changi transit program

Flight delays. If scoot flies to China only once a day, if you get delayed on the way over it could result in a long long layover.

    • then use this promo to avoid that catastrophe.

      • As I have a regular job that doesnt cut it, my leave days are very previous and 1 day delay with Scoot costs me much more than just money.

  • Its 80 singapore dollars on board to upgrade if available seats in business and there are plugs under the seat to charge. Its a universal plug i know cos i charged my tablet.

  • Food costs are crippling, so make sure you're stuffed before you board

They will not provide cups and ice for your BYO duty free liquor and mixes. Expect to pay $$$ for Coke etc to get a cup with ice.
Expect to pay for blankets if you get cold enroute - so bring a roll of tinfoil.

    • Isn't it illegal to drink BYO alcohol on a place?

  • I would say better to avoid to use or beware of trip.com, even its app (trip.com looks like a fishing scams company) - their quotation price is cheap and available in the first place in skyscanner.com, however, they immediately cancel my booking after input all booking personal information (name, passport, dob) and credit card details. I think there is something wrong with my input and try again and again, and cannot make a successful booking. - that is my trip.com experience, and I don't know how this company handle my personal and credit card information at the end, because all the unsuccessful booking information will be recorded.
