Hanvon BC10C 10.1" Tablet $629 at Officeworks

110

Officeworks have had these in for a little while now at $898, now on clearance at $629. What was a good buy for a Windows 7 tablet with HDMI out, USB inputs and camera compared to the Ipad (and even Ipad 2) I think is an exceptional buy now. Compares well to products offered from overseas sellers on ebay, but with Officeworks backup which I have always found to be exceptional.

I've played around with these at OW and found overall quality to be quite good, usability is great, lightweight and a good slim design (Epad and Apads seem to be fairly bulky). They are modifiable too with some tech forums discussing updating to SSD drives amongst other "improvements". Processor could be better but I think is sufficient for my needs.

If you must have a PC in tablet form then this is a bargain, I've tried using a Lenovo tablet and found it's incredibly painful to use windows 7 in tablet form.

Which one , i find it works well

Also which version of windows are you using big difference between win 7 starter etc

      • I was using a X200 table, 2 GB RAM, dual core, windows 7 home premium. If you want to browse the net, it's difficult to click on small links, it's painful selecting a bit of text you can to copy, bringing up on screen keyboard is hit and miss. The browsing experience compared to an iPad it's night and day.

        • Ahh yes it doesnt compare to an ipad for touchscreen etc, but comapred to other windows tablets its great

    • I've been interested in trying, but found no shop with one turned on for testing.

  • Not bad by looking at the spec. but not sure about the battery. Does anyone know?

"usability is great, lightweight and a good slim design (Epad and Apads seem to be fairly bulky)"

Really, almost a kilo (990g) isn't lightweight in anyone's book.

    • I doubt its slim. People will say anything to get you to buy some crappy windows tablet. Better of getting an iPad or waiting for a good Android to come out. Nobody wants windows anymore.

  • Sold out by the looks at things both online and at the Alexandria store.
I always seem to get the half day runaround with OfficeWorks!
