Cheapest TV 46" Plus for under $750

Looking for the cheapest deal available 46" to 65" TV available for a friend, just normal Netflix and TV viewing.
So far Ive come across this one

Happy to consider refurbished TV as long as it's a well known brand with good after sales service like LG, Samsung, Sony

I would avoid getting a cheap smart TV if I was you. Almost all of these cheap TVs use an Mstar solution and in my experience the smart solution boards have a terrible time with colour accuracy, generally poor picture quality and the smart interface tends to be a bit of a mess. You will also find that the smart apps are a bit of a mess and Netflix has been cracking down so less and less of them even support that or if they do it will be at a lower resolution. Just get a Chromecast or similar and a dumb TV.

You can consider a Kogan TV too although once again avoid the Smart TVs, Cast TVs, Smarter TVs etc. as their picture quality is inferior to the dumb TVs.

Something like this may be worth a look if you can wait. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-65-4k-led-tv-series-8-ju8…

Note like all cheap TVs at this size the speakers will be usable at best and you will want a soundbar or external speakers if you like things like loud noises or bass.

If you aren't in a huge rush or can stretch your budget a bit I would suggest a Hisense TV, they have reviewed well and from my experience are a big jump over the cheap TVs.

    • What's the best upgrade over Hisense. I am in the market now for a 4k 65 to 75 inch TV.

Absolute Max budget is $3000 aud delivered trying not to buy anything cheaper than $1500.

Use case is pc monitor, pc gaming, Netflix 4k, YouTube 4k and normal free to air TV.

Main thing is using WiFi connection on a dumb TV but may add a pc or Android box to it to solve that problem.

      Room has medium lighting.

Trying to find the best or second best tier picture quality. Will probably use TV sound for now.. Not gonna blast the sound just enough for the room to be audible and a little down so doesn't disturb housemates.

I know Hisense and TCL is good for budget but quality but not sure where to go from there as I don't want to have to replace it in a few years and keep it for awhile so don't mind investing a bit.

Definitely not getting a budget TV.. Too washed out and bad picture quality not clear and sharp.

Oled out since there will be static images at some point.

  • Cant even find a good deal on ebay
