  The 305 mk 1 were awesome, I bought the 308 mk1 and have been happy with them for 3 or 4 years now.

  Make sure you have an external dac for easy of use (and quality, so I hear).

    Hello,
    As they are active (amplified) it is not recommended to use another pre amp in conjunction with them.
    They sound great as many reviews will confirm.
