YESSSS!!! this has made my day.

  • What size? Pretty sure the peanut butter cups are about the same at the candy store in town. You can buy a whole box on COTD today. 36 twin packs for $34.95

    • +2

Pack of 8 individual peanut butter cups which is 124g.
      Toastems has 6 'toaster pastries' = 312g

  • +1

its like Coles selling Chips Ahoy.. it's just not the same

  • +6

Are these the same as Reeses Pieces? My mate used to call them Reeses Faeces. It was funny when I was 12.

    • +9

And yet strangely funny 20 years on

  • +5

Anyone seen Hershey Kisses as well anywhere?
    I finished mine(X 5) at the airport :(

    • +2

I see them at my local reject shops on and off. Worth a shot! If not, nearly all chocolate & lolly shops in plazas have them by the counter. Expensive, but sooo worth it.

      • yeah well Canberra has none at all ( Gold Creek boo!)
And now I wonder why no one comes here

        • Booooo!! Move to Melbourne.

        • -1

Canberra has 1 in Belconnen Westfeild :)

It's located on the 1st level near JBHiFi.

        • Hirokuro
That one never has any stock
and all items from most sales are always sold out :(

        • I bought mine at the Westfield Belconnen store

  • +3

lol good to see they sell them now, but even my local fruit shop sells em cheaper. $1.99 for them..

    even cheaper when nearing useby.

    • +3

$1.99 for an 8 pack??? I'm moving to your suburb.

  • nom nom nom

    • I see your nom nom nom and raise you an OMNOMONMNOMNOM! Good deal.

  • +2

crap, I hope the Reese's & Toastem's aren't sold out when I'm able to get to The Reject Shop.

  • +2

USA Foods are going downhill. You can buy Hershey's kisses far cheaper on EBAY from other Aussie sellers with use by dates far longer than the USA foods ones (1.58kg bag - USA foods use by May, EBAY October - and EBAY $10 cheaper including postage)…

reece butter cups = scat + sugar

i couldnt finish one cup, and was arguing with myself if i should seek a refund…

    • +1

scat? it's just chocolate and peanutbutter could not of been that bad lol

      • I am being melodramatic, but it was pretty ordinary to me and my tastebuds, and after traveling to the USA, I'm a little appalled at how many peanut butter items you can get. I was expecting to get a little more flamed lol

    • +4

It'a an acquired American taste a little too much for some people, though no reason to call it scat…
Man, you got peanut butter in my chocolate, you got chocolate in my peanut butter ROFL

      • Officer Reeses shoots both of them ( walks away slowly with the chocolate/peanut butter !)

      • Ski bi di bi di do bap do
        Do bam do

        • I'm the Scatman

        • lol
          Love that guy

  • Very excited to try toastems! Haven't eaten poptarts in years :D

    • Had them a couple of weeks ago - they are close enough to pop tarts, but they only come in "frosted" varieties, which I'm not a huge fan of..

      • +1

Oh damn, I'm not a fan of frosted pop tarts either. I'm not complaining, I'm trying to lose weight so I'll just buy the Reese's buttercups :)

  • woot, got some from reject shop southland (VIC)

    YUMMY

  • +2

SweetAs in Doncaster, Southland, Knox, Glen Waverley, Benteleigh, Chadstone & Boxhill stock Reeses and Hersheys chocolate bars. They are usually very cheap. Their Lindt is serious bargain.

    • Ooooh, really? Might be worth a drive out to Doncaster.

      • $2 I guess. But they have them all the time.

      • If you go to Doncaster shopping town, near Coles El Bazaar has plenty of pop tarts 8pcs at $10 mark.

        • I haven't been to "shoppo" in a while now, only went once since the renovations. Are you still looking at 45 minutes to get a parking spot on a good day?

      • Coles express parking, easy!

  • +1

I've had Reece's Butter Cups but I could not detect any traces of scat. Maybe infernal_max misread the packaging?

  • -1

buy cheapest chocolate on www.catchoftheday.com.au. If you miss the deal, sign up, they will send their offer to you next time.

    • I was so tempted to buy the Reese's deal yesterday because it was heaps cheap, but the expiry was too soon to eat 18 twin packs (the other 18 would've been for my sis).

      • Aug 2011 date too soon?

        • +2

haha, yeah for sure. I've lost heaps of weight (5kgs, another 5 to go) & only have chocolate very rarely so I don't want to undo all my hardwork.

        • +2

Well done. I lost 25kg and then let a bit of it go because of peanut butter cups, you don't want to have to do it again, lol :P

  • +2

Can confirm that Epping VIC has heaps of both.

Chocolate, strawberry and cinnamon in the toastems.

    • +1

Excellent, I will head up there in the next couple of days :)

      • +1

If you like Apple Strudel, Cherry, cookie and cream, blueberry, hot fudge Sundae, Doncaster El Bazzaa has the wider range.

        • Do you own El Bazzaa too?

    • Damn, Blacktown (Sydney) store only has heaps of Strawberry. Very yummy tho.

  • No. Planet chocolate in Epping Plaza should have pop tarts in stock if they have operated. I don't own it neither.

  • I bought a few boxes of Toast'ems but can someone explain how to read the expiry dates?

    I'm a little confused.

  • +1

It should say the month in 3 letters, then the first 2 numbers is the day of the month, and the second 2 numbers is the year. The 3 after that are just a manufacturing code, I believe.

Expiry doesn't matter tooo much anyway, it's BB not UB :)

    • Thanks Ashlea.

Thats awesome, its cheaper than buying from USA Foods even though they imported it here.

  • +1

I wonder if these are seconds? My toast 'ems are only 3/4 covered in frosting..not sure if they're all like that?

And my peanuts butter cups get stuck to the bottom, but that's maybe just because of heat during shipping.

    • the ones I bought from the USA are the same. It is more to do with the heat.

  • +3

Dang, I was after the pieces not the cups, how am I supposed to stay safe from the ET invasion now.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMW3W-G43gI

    • lol how on earth did you come across that

      • I saw the clip recently and it was hilariously relevant. I think it is just a mock clip but very well done.

  • +1

Feels like discovering Dr Pepper in the Sahara dessert!

  • +1

Brisbane CBD has lots of each (all flavours of the toastems too)

  • Hmm this is really getting the curious side of me, I'm tempted to try the Toast 'ems (I've tried Reese buttercups before, they're good but can be a tad bit too sweet)

  • Toast'ems are pretty sweet if you get the ones with icing on top (frosted range) they can be overly sweet. I suggest sticking to just the filled plain filled range! Their just as good as poptarts. I actually prefer them.

  • it says on toastems there are strawberry, cinnamon or chocolate.

    which is the best??

pop tarts are better i think because theres more variety, i have never tried toastems.

  • I got the last pack of Reese's today at my local store just before closing time. There were heaps of Toastem's though in all flavours.

  • +2

just went to belconnen store and there were heaps of reese but no more chocolate flavoured toastems.

    • that sound like #winning
      no but it's totally awesome

  • -2

wtf.. went to reject shop today at top ryde, no reeses or toastems to be seen..

    dissapointing

    • :'(

    • +3

I thought your local fruit shop sold them cheaper.

    • +1

Maybe because you're two weeks too late? WTF get your shite together, they were sold out in a few days.

  • yeah they are out of stock at the moment too…
