Where do other OZB store their oil? Thinking a 10L bottle would be more cumbersome to store

I use the old car oil container. Like you buy 5L new oil, replace the old oil and pour the old oil into the 5L oil container you just purchased.

I read some threads that people use milk bottle (2L) or cooking oil container (5L), it works just fine, but need to mark it "car oil" and dispose at SupercheapAuto.

Thats not what he asked lmfao… But yeh I got a massive garage so has never been a problem. Currently have 56L of oil stored lol

Haha, I thought he asked where people store old oil before disposing.

Because when we buy, it is already in the good looking container lol

          • @codinghelloworld: @haisergeant I use the old 5L bottles to store the old oil, but did wonder how people with the big bottles store them and also wondered how they store the used oil for recycling if they don't have 5L bottles handy. 3L milk bottles is a good idea, cheers.

        • I guess we have lots of oil in our homes huh?

          • @oldrocker: Mine is all new from a recent sale. My old oil goes to supercheap day of change over

You can sell it to McDonald's and earn cash

      • Supercheap accept used oil?

That's really good to know. Thinking it was a normal thing (and not wanting to throw it straight in the bin) I've tried to palm mine off to several mechanics before, only for them to laugh in my face and then give a definitive 'yeah no'.

        • Your local council waste management centre should take them too (first 5 litres free), check your council or your neighbouring council if your council don't.

Crazy. Cheapest it's been for a while.

  • It'll be great if can go halves with a mate!??

  • If I buy this, it'll take me around 4-4.5 years to finish it all. A bit extreme in my case as i only do 10,000km per year. Good value for high millage people though.
