    Great price!

Two days ago I picked up some 2x Nulon 5w30 5L for $66 (Supercheap), and that was about as cheap as it gets for 5w30 oil ever.
If given the choice I have purchased OP's one instead!

The only thing you need to consider is the size is awkward to use unless you have a way to decant into smaller bottles or pump directly into sump.

5L bottles you can just pour in by hand with a funnel.

Still… it doesn't get any cheaper than this. Plus vote!

Oh but it did, look below

Two days ago I picked up some 2x Nulon ……..If given the choice I have purchased OP's one instead!

Why? If I'm not mistaken, Nulon is an Australian company and Castrol is not (owned by BP I think https://www.bp.com/en/global/corporate/who-we-are/our-brands…)

I don't always practice what I preach but it's worth knowing and sharing.

      • I also bought 10L Nulon two days ago for $65.19 using $10 loyalty balance, ie., cost me $70.19 after $5 joining fee. This is so tempting but will be contented with OZ made..

      • Australian Made? I didn't know that! Thanks for pointing it out.

Pretty sure it has a tap under the lid. Take the bung out punch a hole through then its actually easier than a 5L

      • I didn't know that, thanks mate!

There was some 5w40 castrol edge in 5L that was cheaper per liter the other day on here

5w30 is not the same as 5w40…

      • Err, other than the higher temp viscosity it is very very similar. Many people use a 5w30 when they should be using a 5w40 in warmer parts of the country.

A 5w40 will not kill a car that uses 5w30. It just means it is thicker, but as the oil is thermally thinned then a 5w30 may become too thin to fully protect in higher temps and leads to additional engine wear. Also thinner oils mean better economy to help manufacturers get lower emission ratings but possibly at the detriment of engine life. Most cars in warmer parts of country don't need 5w.

  • Thanks op been waiting for this. Bought 2 for pick up. Weird ebay kept saying error when committing to buy/pay and I could only get it to go through buying 1 at a time and second one took me a few goes to get it done……….

Cheers op. That's me covered for a couple of oil changes now. 👍

  • So tommorrow we can buy it with 15% off discount.

  • A3/B4 10L is not advance fully synthetic? It has the same code as 5L so are they the same formular?

  • Any idea how we can click&collect with the US 15% off coupon?
