  • It was $99 earlier today

    • I've been watching these for the last few days and they were never $99. The red and greens without QI charger were $99.

  • +1

    brown ….

    • That colour should be made…ill-eagle…

  • Looks like a couple of ozbargainers were pretty keen for this brown one from the comments on the previous zik 3 (green/red) deals.

I decided to bite now even though it hasn't dropped to $99 yet just in case, had an extra $15 off coupon from em anyways.

    Cheers OP

  • Bought the green one earlier today! $20 extra would have definitely itelt gone brown 😥😥😥

Great deal either way from what I have read (and Xmas gift sorted if they aren't for me when U get them)

  • They are carrying the Bose QC35II at $412. Hoping for a price drop soon.

Better still, I'm waiting for them to sell the Sony 1000XM3, which I'm sure they will, as they previously sold the 1000XM2.

Paid $499 for the original Zik when it was new. What an idiot :(

    • You can help us by some reviews. Thanks

I have the version 1, not the version 3 (here). I don't use it very often and my review is mostly subjective. Overall I don't like this product and regret the purchase, but for $120 it's a bargain and I think you'd be crazy to buy the QC35II when you can pick this up.

        Good:

        Very comfortable with extended use.

Very easy to control (pause, play, volume) via the capacitive pad.

        Very good ANC quality.

Music sounds better than with QC25. Better bass, wider sound stage. Sound Signature is standard V which I flatten with EQ
EQ option are very good via the App.

On 4 separate occasions, I got complimented by strangers on PT or in shops about the headset looking good lol!

        Bad:

Requires an Android (or iOS) app for configuration.
-> This app contains ads for other headphones, which is offensive considering how much I paid for these.

The cable quality is very poor and it frayed quickly

Battery life is short, I get about 6 hours with BT and ANC

Audio quality is very bad when used passively (when the battery dies). I think this is standard for most ANC headphones though.
Worst part: If you used it in wired mode but with power on, other people can pair with it. On a few occasions I've been trolled like this during flights.

Username checks out.. Seriously, thanks for your detailed review.. Very helpful

Can vouch, have pretty similar experience. I often demo this when killing time at airports, it's got surprisingly good sound quality AND build quality.

I paid $169 for this exact thing from Catch last week (through ebay), wished I'd waited! I don't think you're an idiot for not waiting a few years.

  • How are these headphones?

    • +3

For this price, they can't be beat.

Press f to pay respects to a dead Parrot.

  • Do they ever discount colours that don’t have the crocodile pattern? I used to have the originals, and loved them - but can’t bring myself to buy the croc ones…

    • The non-croc camel brown ones went on sale shortly after the crocodile green, snagged myself a pair. I’m afraid I doubt them having any stock of non-croc left.

      • Cheers man, I'll jump in next time I see these up (every few months at least - hopefully the trend continues!) and see if non-croc are on sale too.

If you get a sec, can you comment on what you think of the series three once you've had a play?

        Cheers.

  • Brown. Should match all those Zune owners out there.

  • I wonder how they managed to grapple the pickle matrix…
