32" Full HD LCD TV @ COTD = $339 (+$20~ Shipping)

110

Just noticed this on COTD. Bit hesitant to post it because it seems to be a good deal but no one has posted it yet, but here I go.

I think $360 all up is pretty good for a Full HD TV of this size, despite the fact that it will no doubt be of a lesser known brand. The next cheapest I could find is at JBHiFi for $399:

I know that some people, including me, are pretty wary of COTD, so feel very free to comment on the quality of the deal.

hmmm, its ok i guess, COTD….each to their own

    • bah how boring

The specs mention 12 month warranty by AWA

It's most likely an AWA TV or perhaps some rebadge of it.

      • yeah well….COTD churns out these deals something like a weekly basis….and price isn bad at all….fair id say i mean if any1 looking at these price for FHD i doubt theyd care about brands…almost certain its rebadged….maybe even by COTD themself.

      • Based on what I can read from the picture, it looks like a Luxam brand.

"Ningbo Luxam Electronics Co., Ltd., located in Ninghai High-Tech Park of Ningbo, is a professional flat panel TV supplier."

"…is a professional flat panel TV supplier.”

As opposed to an amateur/hobbyist flat panel TV supplier?

"Hallo, nice to meet you, my name is Ningbo Luxam; supplying flat panel TVs is my very favourite pastime! You can call me Ning."

Perhaps the police are coming for you or maybe it's the government?

Don't know about the servicing by AWA. But at least with the JB one, there is a place you can go to or ring up and abuse when the thing stops working (if you get knocked around by the manufacturer, going back to the retailer to try to use their connections or enforce your TPA rights can also work). Good luck doing that with COTD.

Also you can go to JB and look at the rubbish you are buying before you actually cough up the cash. And of course you can try to haggle as well.

i bought my 32inch lcd off COTD 3 years ago.

no problem with it. excellent price at that time - $500

  • ….and if yourun into any problems with the product from Catchoftheday then be prepared to spend three months banging the head aganinst the wall talkin with their 2 reps with no result.

Actually, I can vouch for COTD in this respect. I had problems with my Sennheiser MX55VC earphones that I ordered from COTD. I contacted them for an exchange. They replied back a day later, with a freepost return address and an RA number, to return the faulty earphones. A week later, I had brand new earphones as a replacement. So, it's been a good experience for me from COTD.

      • i've had a good experience with COTD.
Deek , you had a good experience. (sure, faulty headphones -products can be faulty).

who has had a bad experience with a product they have bought on COTD?
aside from problems of stock running out and the usual delivery issues and crap website taking an hour to load.

the wine deal that they had going. it was i think 12 bottles of red wine for cheap. they never metioned it was PLASTIC bottles! PLASTIC wine bottles wtf! i was planning to buy and give out to friends. sigh.

it was pretty much goon bag in a plastic bottle with a really dodgy label too (faded and generic).

also bought some grocery food, and it was 2 weeks about to expire. They could at least advertise the used by date! no wonder its cheap coz its approaching expiry.

just things like this, COTD seems hell dodgy to me!

        • awesomness, REALLY!!? You were going to buy cheap nasty (cleanskins presumably) wine worth what - $3 a bottle, and give them away as presents!!!??? SERIOUSLY?

There are some kinds of people who would drink anything, as long as it contains alcohol and gets them drunk.

  • Funny how COTD can deliver a 32inch tv for the same price that ShoppingSquare charges for an external hard drive.
