  • Thanks OP, ended up being $16.65 for me via ING.

    • ING?

      • +1

No intl. exchange when you pay with USD (I presume is what OP is talking about)

        • Yeah, paid $16.65 AUD when converted from USD on my ING Direct visa card (via visa's FX conversion rates).

  • Does this support iPhone 8?

    • Yes

      • -3

What about Iphone 7 and Samsung note 5?

        • +7

It won't charge an iPhone 7 because an iPhone 7 can't be charged wirelessly.

    • Yes it should support iPhone 8 and iPhone X

      • Compatible but don't think it can fast wireless charge.

        • Correct.
7.5W max for latest Gen iPhone XS and Max.
5W for iPhone X (it can peak at 7.5W for short period but 90% of the time will be 5W max)

          • @Mostly Melbourne: Because Apple is so far behind in adopting Qi Wireless charging. When they finally did last year, they didn't bother to do 10w charging or faster. It's been available on a range of other phones since at least 2012. Google Nexus and Nokia adopted it in 2012, Samsung Note 5 and 6S phones got it in 2015, and many others.

I guess it's on par for Apple premium ($$$) products, they still don't ship their top end phones with a fast USB charger either do they?! Also no USB-C lightning cables?? The mind boggles.

          • @Mostly Melbourne: The iPhone X does do 7.5W, just FYI (iOS 11.2 update turned that on ages ago).
And that "peak short period" stuff: would love to know where you pulled that from…https://bgr.com/2018/09/18/iphone-xs-vs-iphone-x-wireless-charging-speed-gains-explained/ for example not only says otherwise but also that the Xs and Max are faster.

    • Yes at 5W

  • iPhone XS

The maximum charge rate hasn’t been clarified yet. Fingers crossed it’s more than 10w.

    • People have done tests and found that it's still 7.5W max. They've increased efficiency by opting for a coil made out of copper completely instead of a mixed ally one used in the X and 8.

For charging with cable I believe the maximum is 20W over USB-PD.

Don't need one, but bought one. Xiaomi Life

    • I exactly know what you mean!

  • How long does this thing take to charge iPhone 8+ to full battery?

    • Same time as the small 5W wall charger that came with your phone. Unless iOS 12 has changed anything, all 3rd party wireless chargers (that Apple doesn't sell on their website) charge at 5W via software limitations. The ones Apple sell charge at 7.5W.

Is it better than the popular Blitzwolf charger?

    • These are QI standard but not certified, if you want a bit premium quality with QI certified, try Mcdodo brand.

  • +2

    Any good for galaxy s8?

    • The official wireless charger is Qi tech so this Xiaomi should be compatible.
Here's the link to the official AU wireless charger for the S8:
      https://www.samsung.com/au/mobile-accessories/wireless-charg…

P.S. This info took me wayyy too many clicks to find. Don't know why Samsung thought it was a good idea to hide this from the phone's spec page.

P.P.S. Thanks for the deal. Bought 2 for my parents' new S8s.

      • Phones spec page seems like the perfect spot to put detailed specs.

Samsung phones are compatible with both qi and PMA wireless chargers so you shouldn't have a compatibility issue with any charger.

Only thing you should look at is speed as each charger will provide a different amount of power.

Shipping insurance is on by default and I clicked too fast. Very sneaky…

  • Cheers OP, got one as a gift. Hopefully it'll come soon.

  • Why mi Max 3 doesn't have wireless charging…..

    • +2

Because it's considered a budget phone by Xiaomi overlords.

  • Are all wireless charges created equally? I use a case on my Note 9 that apparently says it's wireless charging compatible. Would that be applicable to all wireless charges including this one?

    • +7

Apparently this charger drops to 5W after 1 minute due to heat issues: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/401358#comment-6336779

      • Thank you :)

      • +1

Thanks for the heads up - was going to buy until I seen this

      • +1

I believe this is an incorrect interpretation. 5W limitation is due to iPhone X , the charger is designed and has been tested to output 7.5W to compatible devices including iPhone XS Max, Xiaomi MIX 2S and 10W with the latest Samsung phones.

    • +1

What they mean, I think, is that the case will not interfere with the wireless charging capability of your device.

  • Has anyone tried charging with the apple leather protector on? I don’t think it will work but I can’t be bothered changing lol

    • Yes

      • Works fine?

        • I googled it for you, so the apple website says it is. Take a look. Give google a run yourself.

          • +1

@cashie: I did already mate. From experience chargers vary. I tried my apple case in a public chargers it doesn’t work at all. Hence why I asked for people’s experience in regards to this charger

            • +1

@maverickjohn: To be fair, it looked like your original question was for chargers in general, not this specific one.

  • Will this artive before iPhone 11??.. I am still waiting for my previous purchase to arrive, purchase almost 2 months back.

  • Does this fast charge a S8+? I bought a couple of cheapie $5 'wireless fast chargers' from aliexpress and they dont fast charge as advertised.

    • Be sure to use a fast charge wall plug? Results vary with different plugs

      • yep, tried different plugs and cables

        • dam that blows

  • Does this work for Samsung phones? I have a S9+

  • Refunded with no explanation (e.g. no more discounted units available). Website still shows stock, so it seems to be either a case of a horrible website (not knowing when they're out of stock), or not wanting to sell any more discounted units.

    • I just ordered one, I'll let you know if it's cancelled…

      • ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Good luck - though if yours does go through, the fact remains that they cancelled mine without giving a reason (there's no issue with my card/payment method as I've made purchases just before as well as after the Dresslily one without any issues).

  • Does this need a QC to go above 5W?

    • +2

yes you need a QC2.0/3.0 for every wireless charger 7.5W, 10W or 15W.
The normal 5V 1A-2.4A will output 5W wireless

  • Has anybody got an adapter with this to enable their phones to charge wirelessly?

  • Thanks Op. Ordered One

  • +1

Ordered one on the 6th and haven't received any notification of shipment yet as of the 9th. Anyone else besides user merivetio above have any issues?

    • +1

mine hasn't been posted yet. ordered on the 1st, says processing

      • update. just received an email saying its shipped

    • Same here, I have cancelled my order and ask for refund. Planning to get the RAVPower from Amazon. Will be much quicker delivery!

  • Mine is still processing. It is ordered on 2nd OCT. Is there Dresslily Rep here?

    • I just got an email saying mine just got shipped, ordered 1st October

      • I am surprised they shipped out the item 16 days after order date.

  • Just got mine. Seems legit from what I can tell. Can't find anything definitive online though.

  • Received mine yesterday and its working as intended.

  • Mine arrived today.

  • I can't seem to get this working with iPhone XS Max. Any suggestions peeps?

    • No problem with mine, I have Otterbox Commuter on as well.

      • Thanks. All good now, carry on folks :)

  • Mine arrived today. Ordered on 2 Oct and posted on 16th Oct and delivered on 25th Oct. Not the fastest and they dispatched the item when I asked for a refund.

The charger itself looks nice and it is charging my note 9 now.
