    Great price

  • hmm.. now what to spend another $20 on for free shipping! :P

    • I wanted to pick up the new Final Fantasy book, needed $10 to get free shipping and added this :) there seems to be a few more video games sold by Amazon US now

      • Which book?

  • I thought Amazon stopped the ability to buy physical products from the overseas stores?

Sorry I tried to spell that out in the title/desc but it's from Amazon AU, but sold by Amazon US. That's how they're selling items to us now.

We get the USA price, +GST and have to pay delivery (or spend $49 on international items and get free delivery).

Not all items are available - which sucks, but they're slowly adding more.

        Oh cool!

  • Is this work with AU console?

      switch is region free!

      • Oh Thank you.

      • I think only issue is purchase of related DLCs? That might be restricted to the the same region as the game - but I can't remember if I read fact or internet opinion.

        • I think that's the case - if you swap your region to US you can download/purchase DLC and then swap back. Haven't tried it myself but it's what I've read on forums for game imports.

          • +6

            @Kugz: I haven't encountered that at all.

I used to live in the US, and bought Zelda, Mario/Rabbids and Splatoon there.

After I moved back here, I bought the DLC for each with my Australian account on the Australian store.

However, the free DLC coupon that came bundled with Mario/Rabbids (for the Pixel Pack) had to be redeemed with my US account.

So, I think it's safe to say that any printed DLC codes that come bundled with a game are region-specific. But there's nothing to stop you from using your Australian account to buy add-on DLC for a US cartridge.

Of course, maybe some weird game may break that general rule, but it would be an outlier. Also, if the game doesn't have an Australian release, then there would be no DLC to purchase on the Australian store to begin with. But as a general rule, you should be fine.

            • @[Deactivated]: Ok that's awesome, I've got a few imports on the way/ready to play - still going through the back catalog. It might just be code specific, I've got BlazBlue with the Season Pass coming from Japan and a few posts said I had to redeem it on the JP site but I guess you could just buy the AU one too.

              Thanks for the info!

              • @Kugz: If it comes bundled with DLC, it will likely be in the form of a code that is redeemable only in a specific store (as happened when I bought Rabbids and got a US-specific Pixel Pack code).

But generally speaking, it seems the games are all cross-listed across the stores in an identical fashion, just with region-specific prices.

            • @[Deactivated]: That is good to know! Am pleasantly surprised, especially with Nintendo's history!

            • @[Deactivated]: I think it’s case by case.

You also can’t redeem My Nintendo reward points for a different regions title.

              • @Smigit: The reward points account for 1% of the value of physical titles. They’re basically not worth much more than a rounding error, so I don’t think that would be a huge factor in buying games.

      • Seriously?? I'm going to Japan next year and was wondering if Japanese purchased games would work on my Switch!

        • +1

Japanese games will work on your Switch, but may not (probably won’t) have English as a language option - even if they’re available locally in English.

There’s a few places you can check to see if a game has English support, google Gaijin Gamers and there is a message board with a list of Switch games with English support (plus a few others out there).

@Kugz: You sir, get my upvote. Gold advice - thanks!

  • Is it worth selling my PS4 verson on ebay and buying this?

  • +2

Doesn't look like shipping is free with prime as this is shipped from USA (unless you buy for more than $49). Spoke to amazon support on chat and confirmed.

Great game for anyone that hasn’t played it. They did an excellent job of re-doing the Original trilogy. I finished everything possible on all three on the Xbox One Version last month.

  • Can you price match this anywhere?

    • +1

      Maybe EB USA …? hehehe

      • Gamestop, that's what they call EB Game in the US :)

        • That's right! i drew a blank for a minute

  • Would cashrewards 6% work for this deal?

  • Any other good switch game on discount?

  • is there a specific link I should be using? im getting $107~

  • +1

Showing $38.88 + $8.06 Delivery for me now.

Which is good, but not spontaneous amazon purchase good

  • God damn it, missed it. Hope it drops to this price again sometime!

  • It's funny how these games are on other platforms with better graphics and gameplay and I've got them but only excited about getting on the switch to play

  • Amazon cancelled my order for this game for seemingly no reason. Anyone got any advice on how to contact them.. no email no explanation just cancelled.. was looking forward to this game. Fortunately No money was deducted. Bit bummed out about it.
