It's not often Canberrans get direct flights, but CBR to SIN direct, then back via SYD for $489 return is pretty epic, and on Singapore Airlines too! It's booked through Virgin but you get planes from Singapore Airlines.

Good for a few days. You can fly cheaply to the rest of Asia from Singapore for the rest of your holiday.
Fly there on Singapore then take a cheap flight within Southeast Asia and go somewhere better and cheaper. There are lots of cool things to see in Indonesia. Fly to Padang and check out their good food and long houses.

Well, when they start running the Isle of Man TT race, Pikes Peak, Macau GP, Northwest 200, etc… in Australia, I’ll travel here to watch them
