  • Wonder if it has more nutrients than the cheap Bunnings variety

  • aldi is selling the red tick one for only $1 more

    • healthy heart tick of approval

  • Beware of the black tick stuff - it's cheap for a reason … cheap and nasty, consists mostly of pine chips. Learnt this lesson the hard way a while back :( Stick to red tick potting mix, which can be found for only a bit more when on sale (as lgacb08 has stated above).

Black tick and Red tick have the same standards with the exception Red tick has 6wks of available fertilizer added.

  • Where is this available? Can't find it online (NSW) and I'm sure my local won't have it…

Probably worth mentioning, though likely many of you already know, if you're looking to do a large area of mulching or ground cover area, then it is likely to be cheaper to go through a landscape supplier.

    • Local tree chopping company was doing a house in my street, I asked them what they do with the chips, he said they would give it to me if I wanted it but I would have to take all of it…

      • take all of it :D free supply of nutrients for your property. 6 inches of this stuff and no more lawn and anything you plant wont be needing any watering and grow like crazy.
