      Was it an A660?

To be honest, the A660 has one of the best screens on the market (even if it's only 768p in resolution).

Colours are accurate, it is simply gorgeous! :D

This overall notebook is excellent in regards to the ergonomic design.

However the price is a bit too high to be considered a bargain. $800-899 Deal!

      • Battery life may be a drawback
(only up to 3 hrs for 6-cell..mostly get less than 3-hr)

        • its pretty typical for a full size lappy

        • i7 would be a bigger battery consumer than the i5

    • Hey,

What about the heat comes out of the Laptop. Lot of people complaint that the i7 laptops produce lot of heat. Is it true?

      Cheers,

      • have a HP dv6-3042tx
had heating problems (max @ 95C using prime95)

        my resolution
Cleaned the fans, added thermal paste

note: this was like 8 months old

rarely use it now, because i have the eMAchine

Well Intel ain't providing USB3 support on its chipset anytime soon. So USB3 will be the exception rather than the rule for a while yet.

      • Intel is working on their own interface which is much faster than usb3 apparently. It's called "thunder bolt" I guess. 10gb per sec.

        • It’s called “thunder bolt” I guess. 10gb per sec.

that's true, hence why intel's competitor is the creator of USB3.0
and also reason why apple does not support/have SUB3.0

  • An alright deal… but SB laptops are a huge improvement in terms of using less power and hence battery lasting much longer.

I rather get the macbook air
or add some cash together, use apple epp and get the pro

With thunderbolt and new AMD radeon cards
apple FTFT is looking "value for money"
