The price of Super Mario Party for the Switch has just been dropped to $67 on Amazon AU. It's now the cheapest offer for AU stock that I'm aware of.

Use Cashrewards for an additional 6% off. My experience with Amazon and Cashrewards is that the cashback only applies to the amount excluding GST, so:
67 - 67 * .9 * .06 = $63.38 effective final price.

EDIT: Thanks TA/Cashrewards, it's effectively $60.97 until midnight tonight 10% cashback via Cashrewards.
EDIT2: 12.5% cashback via Cashrewards or Shopback for 10 Oct only, effective price is $59.46.

  • It was $69 this morning when I checked. Looks like they price matched Catch which also has it for $67.

  • I was looking at this last night and it was $69

..now I just need a cheap joycon deal.

    • Watch out! While I know you said joycon, my brother recently brought a pair of third party controllers that specifically don't work with Mario Party. If you want to go third party check reviews first.

      • Has anyone found a third party controller that the switch reads as a single joy-con? I've been looking around but no luck

$65.55 @ Target eBay using P5OFF. You can take a further 10% off using discounted eBay gift cards.

    • Damn, now that is a good deal! I didn't stockpile those gift cards though. :(

    • Tempted to pick it up. Shame that Target isn't apart of the 'PUMPKIN' 10% promotion.

    • I can't get that code to work. Just keeps saying it can't be applied to my order.

EDIT: And it's because I had my primary address set to somewhere in the USA. Nevermind!

Does this game have anything to do with the Mario Party series?

    • +2

Yes. It’s the main game (I believe) and it’s going back to its roots.

    • Basically Mario Party 11

    NOTE

You need 4 joycons to play 4 players. pro controllers won't work, only joycons.

    • The joy-con straps are handy too if you're playing with kids! Or even adults..

    • This makes me angry. Very angry.

      • Its impossible to play without the joy con

    • Can a person play with a single side or does each person need a joycon pair?

      • +1

Each person needs a single side.

My 20% off JB or catch gift card still serves me better.

      Thanks for letting us know.

      I am extremely relieved

  • Cheers!

Thanks op. Wife got a $20 voucher from Maccas which brought this down to $47. It had a $79 minimum spend though, so we just got an everyday item on sale worth $10.

    • +1

Thanks for mentioning this, I had 3 of those vouchers and in the app it says "$5", didn't know they turned in to 3x $20 off at Amazon, that is really great!

    • Yep, thanks for mentioning this. For anyone else with the "$5 Monopoly money discount", they expire on 31 Oct.

This game is fun, wife and I were playing it at a Melbourne Airport bar on Sunday arvo before our flight. Managed to get one whole game in, before checking the boards and noticing our delayed flight now said "Go to Gate"

Best Mario Party I've played in years. I'd almost lost hope for the series, especially after the disaster that was MP10, but this game is great.

  • +1

I wish this had bigger boards and proper Amiibo features.

    • +1

honestly the smaller the board the better. Big boards take too long to traverse, tight boards with many stars make for a more competitive game. Honestly I wish you could fiddle with the game options more. Make stars cost 20, make the golden pipe cost more, more bad luck/vs spaces

      • +1

You're right, they really could have made this amazing. It's one of those games where I HOPE they release DLC and free updates. Similar to the new Mario Tennis game, small things that make me think, come on Nintendo, you're teasing now!

Isn't it cheaper to just buy a dice or flip a coin?

  • Paid my digital copy for $80!!! Shouldn’t digital be considered cheaper as there’s No physical product?

    • +1

You buy digital for the convenience only. Physical is mostly cheaper to keep retailers competitive.

    • +2

Digital is the biggest ripoff in gaming. Publishers get significantly more of the cut as they don't have to pay for manufacture and shipping for the game. Nor do they have to give a cut to retailers for selling it. The product doesn't take space so it doesn't need to be cleared out, and customers aren't able to resell their digital games.

And we buy digital so we don't have to get up and change the disc.

      • Right on. Ripping us off, but if that means more games, I'm happy with that.
