  • How's Utorch compared to Yeelight in terms of performance and connectivity?

  • Can’t seem to get the V2’s working with Amazon Alexa unfortunatly

    • They work with Google home but not Alexa, yet.

    • Is there any difference between v1 and v2? I have v1, both Alexa and Assistant is working though

      • Have both generations (and two generations of yeelight LED strips) and both work with Alexa. Ensure Singapore server in Yeelight App and Alexa Yeelight skill. Can also be assigned room/location in smart home section of Alexa.

One of the main difference between V1 and V2 is the 9W vs 10W and general improvements.

The challenge is other Xiaomi products (non-yeelight) need China mainland (hub, buttons, sensors, etc)server for full features to work and can't talk to lights in this instance unless on the same regional server.

        • I actually have some gadget from Xiaomi, wifi router, wifi repeater and wifi strips, shame that it's only work with China mainland server. Could be because Yeelight is also an independent company though.
Was looking to add everything on Google Home app, turn out only Yeelight lightbulb got support, shame.

  • looking to hook up some smart lights. what are the difference with these?

    • LIFX > Yeelight > Utorch

The above graphic also works for cost!

  • Will the utorch work with Homeassistant.io?

  • Where do I enter the coupon?

    • +1

      At the checkout page.

  • The yeelights were going for US$14.99 this morning in the zapals newsletter
    https://www.zapals.com/xiaomi-yeelight-yldp06yl-rgb-smart-li…

Unfortunately it's now out of stock.
Hopefully this price can be repeated soon.

    • I think they've been out of stock at Zapals for a while, when I checked over the weekend it was showing no stock, unless they restocked yesterday and sold out by today but I doubt it. Pretty sure that $14.99 price was a promotion they ran at the time and haven't restocked since, also you need to add GST to the Zapals price so $22.46 AUD.

    • They are always out of stock for yeelight deal post.

  • Can't get the coupon to work at Checkout?

  • Yeelight works well for scheduling like lifx. Only problem I face is can't change brightness & colour for all together. I need to do individually.

Is there any gu10 smart spotlight bulbs cheaper than hue?

Yeelight promised last year but hasn't delivered yet.

    • In the yeelight app you can create a group of lights and change the colour and brightness of the the group at the same time.
